"Wake up" Savannah's voice said.
I opened my eyes and rubbed them as I woke up. "What's going on?"
Suddenly a flashback came to my mind, yes. The zombie thing. Nobody was sleeping anymore, Oliver was driving again, and Connor was next to Audrey. "Where are we?"
"If I'm not wrong, we're way to the north eastern part...In Gracias a Dios." he said.
"What's that?" I asked.
"It's a state, but there's something weird going on." he said.
"What?" I asked.
"There are people outside, everything seems so calm." he said.
"Zombies?" I asked. Noticing he acually said people.
"People, humans, they are alive." Ava said.
"But, I don't understand. They are alive, how?" I asked.
"If we would know the answer we would probably tell you." Ava replied.
"Fine, I just woke up. But are we safe?" I asked.
"I'm afraid that not for long." Oliver said.
We exchanged looks. He looked somehow nice after sleeping. He took off his uniform which was a miracle since I haven't ever seen a soldier take it off, his hair was short, not as short as soldiers wear it, but it was okay. He seemed really strong without the uniform, he was wearing casual jeans, and a sweater. He looked really good.
"What do you mean?" I asked returning to his eyes again.
"I read a book once, which I thought really stupid back then", Audrey laughed, she was probably the most religious girl in the school.
"It said that, monsters do not have brains, and they think that anything that has to do with gods is bad supposely. As I was saying, Dios is God in spanish, and this land is called Thanks To God in spanish, this means this land is somehow sacred for monsters, they'll take a time to find out this is all fake."
Too much information. Almost unbelievable, nearly dumb. "So, will we be able to rest or something here like in a hotel?" Sidney asked. "I'm so hungry."
"I don't think so, probably because it's too late to change what we've done." Audrey said as she sighed.
I didn't know what she meant, but I was sure it had something to do with Joseph. "You'll be okay." I said.
She'll find someone better, I'm sure.
"But we can't just stay here." Oliver afirmed.
"Why?" I asked.
"Because first of all we need gas,we're almost empty, and second what if they come while we are asleep? We have to get to Bay Islands as fast as we can." he said
I nodded. "I'll go buy some gas, I have money" I said.
"No way!" Oliver exclaimed. "It's still not safe."
"I'll go" Matthew said, "I need some air anyways."
"I'll go with you" Sidney jumped.
"No, I want you to stay here, that'll be a reason to come back for." he said grinning.
She started to sob. Sometimes I get pissed off, why has she to be so sticky with him? But then I think, you can't hate them because you don't have someone next to you, you don't know how it feels to lose someone, and that makes me wanna smile and hug Sidney, because she really loves him and that's perfect.
