Peace will come , I say.
But will it be today?
Will humanity
see our way
without war?
Will it happen this year?
Will humanity find a way
A clear path for the future to exist?
For our children to inherit a planet
This only home, still here, still whole,
Still livable, with food for all?
Can we encourage dialogue
between the warring nations ?
Stop the killing, stop the sacrifice
Of the young , those caught with nowhere to run.
Those that are forced to hold the weapon
To the face the monster, that destroys all.
Will they survive with clear minds?
Or will they turn into just robotic killing machines?
With only revenge as their goal
And ear for and ear and tooth for tooth
Eye for eye and the whole world
Will suffer the madness, just destruction
until no one is left.
It is up to each of us to keep the peace ,
To do our best, to hope and do our piece.
But what can one do against that monster
Which rips and uses weapons of destruction
To mane and kill to destroy leaving lives lost
Tossed away like unwanted husks
It takes it fill of blood and dust
That monster leaves nothing
A no win situation just destruction.
But still will those soldiers keep fighting
Until nothing is left , or will they awake from this horror
And remember they are human and the world
needs them to lay their weapons down.
To turn them into tools to farm the land.
For our world is one, only one place for all
Regardless of colour or creed
for both the rich and the poor.
Our world is meant for all not just the ones
who preach greed and money making scams
Deluding the masses with nonsense
and feeding them lies and delusion.
We are the world and our voices must be heard
So we can sing this monster of war to sleep.
