Obsession

Andrei, one of the most honor-achieving students in his section was a talkative, yet, feisty boy. His acquaintance, a sort of friend-ish relationship, Andrie, was a soft, quiet, and pretty tall in comparison to Andrei's short length.
It was a normal school day, a bright, hot, sunny day,
6 Caleb was having their mathematics session, the teacher, also known as their adviser, is currently teaching them on decimals. She then pulled out a practice drill, everyone had to copy the questions and then answer them. Andrei was quite an expert on math, he really didn't care about it as long as he understood the lesson. Meanwhile, Andrie, was not really that much of a math geek, he only follows the flow wherever and whenever it moves. Anyhow, the class was busy focusing on answering, Andrie was a little bit confused.

"9.5 plus... 6.7? Hmm... oh yeah!"

He thought to himself, he was slowly answering each question one by one in the span of 2 minutes. Andrei on the other hand, was answering as fast as he could think.

"8.9 minus 7.6 is equal to 15.15, but 15.15 should be in smaller terms, so we are focusing on the tenths, we round them off and 15 is now considered as 10 tenths and 5 hundredths, which is calculated to what is 16.5."

Andrie caught the eye of Andrei finishing the questions one by one every approximately 19.2 seconds, he was amazed to the sight of a very intelligent person in the wild.
Later after class, it was recess, Andrie took the chance to finally interact with Andrei ever since 5th grade.

"Hey, um... can you come over to my house tonight? I really need some help with my decimals."

"Of course! Anything to help somebody with problems such as that."

Hours later, after dismissal, Andrei went over to Andrie's house for a tutoring lesson.
