Sophie's POV:
I let out a breath I hadn't realised I'd been holding. No one had died. Edaline (Her adoptive mother) had told her to got to Grady's (her adoptive father) office immediately. Apparently it was very important.
Edaline also told her that it had something to do with another royal family called the Vackers. They were the royal family of Everglen, whereas Sophie and her parents were the royal family of Havenfield.
'You will be going to Everglen for three weeks, to get to know the Prince.' Grady stated.
'Why?' I asked, curious now.
'You will learn to like Prince Fitz, as you two will be getting married," Grady said quietly and calmly. I however was panicking!
'WHAT!?' I exclaimed my heart rate picking up. I was to be sent off to an unknown kingdom to be MARRIED! This is ridiculous.
'I under stand you have doubts but-'I cut him off.
'I HAVE DOUBTS?!' She shouted, 'YOU EXPECT ME TO BE A GOOD OBEDIENT DAUGHTER AND BE SENT OFF TO MARRY A STRANGER! No not happening!' I turned on my heel and stormed out, slamming the door behind me. As I left a lump formed in my throat, tears are coming I thought. I pushed them down. No I refuse to cry. I knew it was childish but I didn't care. I was being sent away.
