Once upon a time there was a squirrel. This squirrels name was Owlsen and he was the quite the energetic little squirrel but, he had his problems. Owlsen wasn't a very popular squirrel. Matter of fact he was quite lonely and had no family to go to because, they had abandoned him. The reason for abandonment was quite sad, because he had insomnia. So while all his family was asleep he'd just be running about waking everyone in his path, but instead of looking for a solution his family kicked him out. They were terrible parents who didn't help him in his time of need. That didn't stop him though. He was determined to make friends and be independent. He didn't like the idea of having no one, but held back his tears and stayed strong. The next day he set out for his journey to make new friends. He packed all his favorite nuts and began to run across the power line right next to his favorite tree branch towards the sunrise. All the other squirrels laughed at him except for one girl squirrel. He ignored the rest but looked at her general direction and suddenly stopped and cuffed his paw and rubbed it against his forehead signaling he wanted to talk to her. She came over to him and asked him where he was going. At first he didn't say anything then he spoke up "I'm not sure, no where in particular just looking for friends, because I have none". She looked at him and gave a slight smile and said "Can I join you? No one should ever be left alone". Owlsen smiled back and said "I would love that, but what about your family?" She replied "My family abandoned me when I was little. I fell out of the tree and they never came to get me". Owlsen frowned and moved close and hugged her "I guess we both are in similar situations". "What's your name if you don't mind sharing?" She looked at him and said "My name is Emily, you ready to begin?" Owlsen looks at the sky then back down looking into her eyes and he got lost in them. "Hey are you okay?" He snapped back into reality and blushed ye...yes. Okay she laughed slightly. She grabbed him hand and they began on their journey. Neither were really sure where they wanted to go, but they ended up in the mountains. She saw this tall beautiful tree that over looked the mountains. Owlsen looked the direction she was looking "Will that tree over there work?" ,he said. She looked at him and smiled "Yes it does", she said. He picked her up and put her on his back and sprinted towards the tree. When they made it to the top she looked out and then turned to him and went in and kissed him. His eyes opened wide and he kissed her back the blushed and backed up and looked at the ground. She looked at him and said, "I'm sorry". She started to walk off and hung her head. She felt bad because, she felt he didn't like it and they had just met. He looked at her and grabbed her hand and said, "Sorry I'm just nervous, I've never done that before". She turned around got close to him and said "Was it good enough for being your first?" He looked in her eyes and replied "Does tingling, butterflies in my stomach and sparks throughout my body mean it was good?" She burst with excitement and said "Yes!" She couldn't hold back and she kissed him again. He pulled her close hugging her close and kissed her again.
She sat down with him on a branch and looked out at the sunset. She looked at him and said "All this time you were looking for a friend, what you didn't know was, I was here the whole time."
