Rearer Stevenson had been harboring feelings for his childhood friend, Frenzy Mara Pallera, for as long as he could remember. They had grown up together, sharing countless memories and adventures. Now, as they entered their third year of high school, Rearer had decided that it was finally time to confess his true feelings to Frenzy.
On a sunny afternoon, Rearer found himself waiting anxiously by the fountain in the center of their school. He had rehearsed his confession countless times in his mind, hoping that today would be the day he could finally express his love for Frenzy.
"I wish, and pray everyday for this day to be a successful day," Rearer whispered to himself, his eyes fixed on his own reflection in the shimmering water.
Suddenly, he heard a familiar voice calling his name. It was Frenzy, accompanied by someone he had never seen before. But Rearer's mind was so consumed with his impending confession that he barely registered the introduction.
"Rearer, I want to introduce my new friend," Frenzy said excitedly, unaware of the turmoil brewing within Rearer. "Rearer, meet Alex, my classmate who became my friend today. He invited me to go to the park tomorrow. Wanna join?"
Rearer forced a smile, his heart sinking at the thought of Frenzy spending time with someone else. "Thanks, but I have work tomorrow," he replied, his voice devoid of emotion. He glanced at Alex, quickly assessing him from top to bottom, before making his escape. "I'm gonna go now, enjoy!"
As Rearer walked away, Alex turned to Frenzy and chuckled. "I think he mistook me as a guy, Frenzy," he said, amusement evident in his voice. "Golden Roses? I think he will wait for you here to confess his feelings for you."
Frenzy's eyes widened in shock, her denial bubbling up instinctively. "Hah, no way," she protested, her voice tinged with uncertainty. "I only see him as my best friend, not a lover. And I don't have feelings for him."
Alex gently tapped her on the shoulder, his voice softening. "Frenzy, stop right now," he whispered. Frenzy paused, her denial fading away as she finally opened her eyes to the truth.
To her surprise, she saw Rearer standing before her, holding a bouquet of golden roses. His voice trembled as he spoke, "Sorry, I just forgot my golden roses that I wanted to give to someone." Without another word, Rearer turned his back and walked slowly towards the garbage bin. Frenzy watched in disbelief as he tossed the roses away, a wave of his hand signaling that everything was okay.
Frenzy stood frozen, her heart pounding in her chest. She couldn't believe what she had just witnessed. Rearer, her best friend, had thrown away the roses he had intended to give to someone. Could it be that those roses were meant for her?
As Rearer walked away, Frenzy's mind raced with a flurry of emotions. She had always seen Rearer as her confidant, her partner in crime, but never as a potential romantic interest. Yet, the sight of him discarding those roses had stirred something deep within her.
Unable to contain her curiosity any longer, Frenzy turned to Alex, her voice filled with urgency. "Alex, what did you mean when you said Rearer was waiting to confess his feelings for me?"
Alex smiled knowingly, his eyes filled with understanding. "Frenzy, sometimes the people closest to us hold feelings that we may not even realize. Rearer has loved you for a long time, but he's been too afraid to tell you."
Frenzy's heart skipped a beat, her mind flooded with memories of their shared moments. She had always cherished their friendship, but had she been blind to something more? The realization hit her like a tidal wave, and she felt a mix of excitement and apprehension.
Determined to uncover the truth, Frenzy made her way towards Rearer. She caught up to him just as he was about to disappear around the corner.
"Rearer, wait!" she called out, her voice filled with a newfound courage. Rearer turned around, surprise evident in his eyes.
