|Jennie|
It's been about 3 weeks since that fateful day that Jisoo told me about her job.
And I honestly don't understand why I had ever been worried.
Or why I couldn't see how hot she was until now.
I mean it's not like everything she does is hot or anything like that but....certain outfits highlight her body more than others.
In addition to that, I realized that I should not interrupt Jisoo while she's working out if I want to save my sanity.
And I learnt it the hard way....but I wouldn't mind replaying the memory in my head sometimes....in the car....at work....in the shower....maybe in bed—
I don't think about Jisoo a lot.
Does she give me sweet compliments and listen to me yell out my frustration about work every day? Yeah and I reciprocate.
Has flowers mysteriously been coming to my desk at work every Friday for the past 3 weeks? Yeah. And I reciprocated by making her brownies one day.
It's all about reciprocation.
I don't like her in a romantic way.
Friends want to cheer up friends all the time.
And that's what I'm doing! I'm making Jisoo feel better!
I shake my head as I park the car and go into work.
I go into work and Rosie pulls me aside and says, "Take a half day off today."
I frown. "Why?"
Rosie holds my upper arms tightly. "Just trust me okay?"
I nod. "Ooooookay....but you have to explain. Later. Explain later."
She grins and pushes me to the head doctor's office and I see him just get off a phone call with someone.
He looks at me and rakes a hand through his grey hair. "We're going to be busy today. What do you need?"
I shake my head. "What happened?"
"Apparently a new company came out with contacts that you can wear in water. And now our whole day is filled with appointments to test for them and get people contacts and see if it's alright. The reception area needs a serious talking to for scheduling back to back appointments all day."
I blink. "All day?"
He nods. "They even stupidly scheduled it through lunch but we moved those closer to closing time."
"Closing time is 7," I squeak.
I don't have many patients under my belt so I leave at 4 or 5 usually.
He nods grimly. "I hate new eye tech companies."
The clock on his desk turns 8. "Get ready for your first appointment Jennie."
I want to toss a table right now.
He snaps his fingers. "How is the research for your clinic going? I know you asked for the warehouse we get our supplies and pharmaceuticals from. You just need an idea to raise money right?"
I nod tiredly. "I've been thinking of ideas but so far nothing is concrete."
He nods and gives me an encouraging smile. "It all works out in the end."
