The wind was blowing in her face, her fur was pushed back. Willow tried to escape the beast's powerful grasp, but it was too much for her. As she prayed, the wind stopped, her fur becoming soft and poofy. And then came the claws. They brushed through her pelt like thorns, not penetrating her skin. It was torture. Weekly torture. It was the price of having long fur in a household with humans at your side 24/7. Next was her bath. Oh, how she hated the bath. She tried clinging to her human, but she was soon shook into the bath. She was wet, her long fur pulling her to the bottom of the bath. Her human kept her up, but she still felt like she was drowning. Minutes later she was out, but it felt like a lifetime. She was caressed by a towel and the affection of all her humans, big and small.
Then she was off. She sniffed the air carefully, listening for a sound. There it was. A plump, juicy mouse. Oh how that mouse looked good. Willow crept towards it, her clumsy paws making much noise. Of course, the mouse heard her, racing off. Willow followed, and for the first time, found it sliding into a hole in the grandfather clock that had been in her human's family for generations. "How weird!" she said. "I never knew an entrance was there!" She walked off, promising to herself she would come back when her humans were asleep.
I know this chapter was short, but if you liked it, make sure to come back later. I will publish the next chapter in a week or two. If you would like to create a character, comment down below telling me about it. It can be another cat, a mouse, a bird, etc. Keep in mind that these animals are almost wild, with no humans, living in an animal society. Thanks for reading!
