Ch.17 : We Meet Again

Nicki's POV

So me and the girls are going shopping for prom dresses today with our moms and its honestly nice having a girls day out not worrying about my little brother or my boyfriend issues or if that even is even my boyfriend...ugh! look I don't know the status of me Jacquees's relationship right now and I don't feel like worrying about right now I just want to enjoy my time with my girls and get ready to turn up for prom and graduation. Issa and Bree said they want to throw us a graduation party and invite everybody from FYB and hell all of Atlanta! and our manager wants us to do have it so we can perform out new single for the first and I'm hella nervous for that. Its our first performance! but Issa said he can get everyone to come including Diggy, Jacob Latimore, MB, and some more well known artists like Chris Brown and Dej Loaf. I don't know how the hell he can do it but shid if he can get my baby Chris to come then so be it!

Mama Carter: Here Nicki! put this on!

Mrs. Tanya(Aja's Mom): Now girl why would you hand her that ugly ass dress!

Now mind you I love my mama but sometimes she has the worst fashion taste! this is my senior prom! and me and the girls plan on slaying that shit and everybody in it like how in her right mind would she give me a yellow and black dress with these long ass atrocious sleeves like do u realize its almost June and were HOTlanta!

Mama Carter: What it looks nice and classy *smiles*

Bree: Yeah if you want her out here lookin like a bumblebee! *laughs*

Aja: Yeah Mama Carter it does look lie a little too much *chuckles*

Me: Mama maybe we should look some more?

Mama Carter: Alright I just don't want you looking too grown! your my baby and I don't want you growing up too fast

Mrs. Tanya: Nicole I understand she's your baby but she's damn near 20! let her have a night to show out and look good

Me: Yeah Mama you know I'll always be your little girl but you know like a bird I gotta fly!

I do this weird thing with my arms like birds do making everyone laugh

Aja: Girl you too much but how about we take a break and go to the food court?

Bree: Yeah cause I'm hungry

Mrs. Tanya: You don't gotta say that twice come on!

*skips to food court*

I check my phone to see if Jacquees had called but surprisingly for the first 24 hrs he hasn't called me wow that's a shocker!... maybe I should text him to see how he's doing... no stop it Nicki! you're giving him the silent treatment remember! I really want to talk to him but I guess you could say repaying him back for all the times he hasn't returned my calls or messages. I was so deep in thought that I guess I didn't hear my mother calling me

Mama Carter: Nicki! Nicki Carter!

Me: huh?! yes?!

Bree: dang girl what you got on your mind that you can't even answer your mother?

Me: its nothing... yes mama?

Mama Carter: I was gonna ask you can you get me some fries from Wendy's?

Me: yeah sure

she hands me a 5 dollar bill and I walk and get in this long ass line like damn Wendy's you having a sale on waffle fries or something?!. I look over and see a familiar face and...no its not! is it really him?!

Me: Shawn?! oh my gosh give me a hug!

* Shawn is being played by Bow Wow so like if you can picture him in his like early twenties even though he's like 18 in this story then you'll get what I'm saying lls*

I hug him and he smells soooo good and he looks good too! even better when I last saw him

Me: So what's been up with you I haven't seen you in almost like a year?!

Shawn: You know just finishing up school graduation coming up

Me: I'm so mad that you had to transfer schools before senior year

Shawn: Well yeah Mama dukes got he big promotion at her job downtown so we had to move *chuckles*

Me: they say its more boring in the suburbs in Atlanta is it?

Shawn: Nah just depends who you cool with

Me: did you go to your prom?

Shawn: Nah Wilson high school proms suck like ass bruh! *laughs* I went to the junior one with a couple of my patnas and it was terrible

Me: come on it was prom! *laughs*it must've not been that bad

Shawn: half of them bitches couldn't even dress! lookin like thots and shit and the DJ was wack as hell *laughs*

Me: *chuckles* well my prom is coming up and me and my girls are bout to slay!

Shawn: * looks worried* Oh you with Aja and Bree?!

Me: Yeah they over there with my mama and Aja's mom you should come over there with me to come see them they probably missed you too

Shawn: *tenses up* umm I would but I really gotta go but one question?

Me: Yeah?

Shawn: Do you have a date to this prom your going to?

Well I was gonna go by myself but it would be nice to go with Shawn I can already picture him lookin sexy as shit in the tux- wait wait! Nicki you have a boyfriend!

Me: Um I don't know Shawn I'm still with Jacquees and I don't know h- *G.C.O*

Shawn: please don't tell me you still fuckin with Jacquees man!

Me: Shawn you know how close we are and you know my feelings for him

Shawn: but were just going as friends I mean the nigga not even in school no more so why should it bother him

I smirk knowing he's right.

Me: Well yeah you right about that and if this is your way of asking me to prom then this is a WACK ASS prom proposal?! *laughs*

Shawn: Now Nicki you know I ain't with that corny shit but I'll bring you some flowers and candy to make up for it

Me: Awww how sweet *says sarcastically* but yes I'll go to prom with you *giggles*

Shawn: Aight well I gotta go but let me get your number first

he hands me his phone and I put my number in there and he says he'll text me later and gives me one last hug and kisses my forehead and I blush like a idiot when he does that and he smiles and walks away.

No One's POV

???: smooth with the kiss on the forehead but why didn't you go say hi to her family?!

Shawn: Cause her dumbass friends don't like me Jay! they already know what I tried to do to Jacquees before he left and I had to beg them not to tell anyone or call the cops

Jay: Well that would've been good to know before you asked her to prom! now what f her friends tell her what happened?!

Shawn: She's not gonna believe them *laughs* Nicki thinks I'm a little angel that wouldn't hurt a fly and her friends telling her that would sound like bullshit

Jay: Well I hope you're right now let's go before someone recognizes me!
