The next two weeks went by fast. Lou kept it pretty low key about the X Factor and quietly sang in his room when everyone else was sleeping. Or at least he thought everyone else was sleeping. I stayed up at night, listening to his voice, until I fell into a deep sleep. His voice was beautiful. If he didn't make it into the next round of the X Factor I would personally kill Simon Cowell myself.
The night before the big day Louis acted strange at dinner. "What's wrong sweetie? You've barely touched your food." Mum said. The only thing dad said was "Eat god dammit!" Ever since the one night dad went a little crazy and hit Louis he has been getting drunk and having major hangovers. He's been in a sour mood recently and doesn't like it when anyone doesn't act like perfect little children in our family.
Louis kept shaking and refusing to eat. Then he threw up all over the table. The whole situation pissed my father off, to which he ordered Lou into his room, verbally abusing him as he climbed the steps to the safe haven of his bed. The table was quiet now. Suddenly dad turned to me. It was very unusual, considering he usually ignored me. "Do you know anything about him?" He asked, not even bothering to adress me by my name. "No sir." I said. I had never called my dad a sir but the way he yelled now like he was some general in an army it seemed nessasary.
After dinner I walked into Lou's room to find a pathetic sight. My brother, who was suppost to be the strong 18 year old was crying on his bed. "Why can't they accept me for who I am?!" He asked frantically. "It's my life!" "It's ok." I said. "Maybe they will change their minds when you become famous." I said smiling. "Yeah I wish." Lou said. Keep practicing." I said. "The big day is tomorrow!"
