"Her body just, like, lifted up into the air, and uh, she just, like hung there." Eddie was recalling what had happened to Chrissy at his trailer, and Marie was watching him intently.

Steve stood behind her, and she was leaned against his legs. Trying to find some comfort from her former best friend, while hearing her boyfriend tell the unsettling details of a classmates death.

"In the air. And her bones, her bones started to snap. Her eyes, man. It... it was like there was something, like, inside her head, pulling. I... I didn't know what to do, so I.... I ran away. I left her there." He finished and looked around, none of the group had an expression he could read.

"You all think I'm crazy, right?" He asked, and Marie shook her head.

"No. We don't think you're crazy." Dustin says, and Eddie shakes his head.

"Don't bullshit me, man!" Eddie snaps, and Marie shakes her head again.

"Eddie, you're not crazy. Trust me, we've dealt with this kinda thing before. The mall fire wasn't really a fire, it was a flesh monster that was trying to kill us," She pulled her turtle neck down and pointed to her neck," You see this bruise?" Marie asked, and Eddie looked at her neck.

After the mall events Marie had began to wear clothes that covered her neck, but even almost a year later there was a permanent bruise on her neck from Billy's hand.

"Billy Hargrove gave this to me, he was told he needed to kill me, and he tried, twice. But in the end he ended up saving my life, but he died at the hands of that thing," She said, and Max watched her intently, "Hopper didn't die in the fire, he was killed by the machine opening a portal to another world."

Eddie stared at his girlfriend like she was crazy, he couldn't believe the words leaving her mouth. She had gone through all of this before? She never told him this, though.

"We believe you, we do." Marie was talking to him, and he glanced over at her little brother.

"You know how people say that Hawkins is... cursed. They're not way off.. There's another world, a world hidden beneath Hawkins. Sometimes it bleeds into ours." Dustin says to him in words that probably make more sense than what Marie was talking about.

"Like ghost and shit?" Eddie asks, and Steve glanced down at Marie.

She was rubbing her forehead, looking like she was trying to relieve a headache.

"There are some things worse than ghost. These monsters from this other world, we thought they were gone. But they've come back before, and that's why we needed to find you. If they're back again, we need to know." Dustin says, and Eddie nods his head.

"That night, did you see anything?" Marie asked, and he just stared at her, confused by what she was talking about.

"Dark particles, maybe. It would almost look like dust, swirling dust." Robin says to him, and he shakes his head.

"No, there was nothing you could see or, uh, or touch." Eddie says, and Marie starts to rub harder at her forehead, trying to look at Eddie but her vision was blurry.

"You know, I tried to wake her, man. She couldn't move, it was like she... she was in a trance or something." Eddie said, and Dustin glanced at his sister and friends.

"Or under a spell." He says to them, and Eddie nods his head.

"A curse." 

"Vecna's curse." Dustin says, and Steve looks at him.

"Who's Vecna?" Steve asks, and Dustin never take his eyes off of Eddie.

"A spell caster, a dark wizard."
