What the hell am I doing?

Jungwon and I did very little that night, but I did end up in his room! Then, at a table with his parents! And now we're sex friends but also, I'm his fake girlfriend??

On Monday morning, wondering how I'm gonna face him when I see him, I'm getting ready for uni, staring at my worried face in the mirror.

Once I reach school, I grab Sooha by her arm and drag her to class with my face facing the floor.

"What's gotten into you? Who are you trying to avoid?"

"Again with Jungwon? What's up between you two?"

I managed to avoid Jungwon for the entire day, but of course, evening club activities came.

We're sitting face to face, playing chess.

"Listen," I whisper. "We need rules if we're gonna have this...business relationship. I don't want to feel used or for it to stem my chances of getting a boyfriend."

"Why would you need a boyfriend when you have me?" I roll my eyes and he laughs.
His voice then suddenly gets lower and he whispers,
"You love your little rules, don't you?"

I make my move on the board, acting all normal.

He sighs,
"What's your first rule, then?"

"Simple. Say hello to me every morning, politely."

"What if I don't see you?"

"Don't be a smartass with me." He shuts up. "Next, don't talk about me when I'm not around. Especially not about our little affairs."

"Don't worry. What's going on in the bedroom has nothing to do with anyone else."

I blush. He's absurdly charming for a virgin.

"Next, I won't interfere with your love affairs, but don't you dare cock-block me again like you did with Hugh."

"The fault is on you."

"Next!" I slam the clock. "If one of us start catching feelings, we have to tell the other."

"What would it change?"

"We'd immediately stop," I see him throwing a glance at me. "Neither of us wants to get hurt after all. Everything else, schedules, place of meeting, the fake girlfriend act, we can figure it out in time. If you have any other rule you want to add, feel free to do so."

"In this case, I'd like you to not kiss anyone in front of me." I look at him, surprised. "You know how competitive I can get, I could just make a mistake and kiss you in front of your boyfriend once again."

I roll my eyes but accept. We shake hands and resume our chess game.
