We found a man lying bleeding but conscious on the ground. He had been bitten in the neck. The boys crouched over him.
"Hey, hey. don't worry. We're gonna call you some help, okay?" Sam said.
"Where is she? Where'd she go?!" Dean asked. The man gestured vaguely down the alley. Sam stayed with the man as Dean and I ran off in that direction. Dean stopped in the middle of an open space, raised his machete and slowly drew it across his left forearm, drawing blood. He held the bleeding arm up. I was hiding right around the corner.
"Smell that?! Come and get it!" he yelled. A young woman emerged from a side alley and stared at him; her chin was covered in blood. "That's right. Come on. I smell good, don't I? I taste even better." Dean continued batting her. The vampire approached cautiously, he dropped the machete. "Come on! Free lunch!" Dean said.
The vampire charged; as she grabbed him and sunk her teeth into his neck, I ran from the corner and whipped out a syringe and plunged it into her neck. She convulsed and fell to the ground, unconscious. Sam came running, frowning at Dean.
"What?" Dean asked.
"Cutting it a little close, don't you think?" Sam asked.
"Ah, that's just chum in the water. Worked, didn't it?" Dean asked. I rolled my eyes.
We went back to a motel room. It was a dingier room than we usually occupied; old mattresses lined the walls, blocking out all external light. The vampire was tied to a chair in the middle of the room; Sam, Dean, and I circled her.
"You with us?" Dean asked her. She woke up fully, struggling against her bonds.
"Oh, yeah, sorry. You're not going anywhere." I said.
"Where's your nest?" Sam asked.
"What?" she asked.
"Your nest... where you and your bloodsucking pals hang out." Dean said.
"I don't know what you're talking about. Please! I don't feel good." she said. I felt like there was something wrong.
"Yeah, well, you're gonna feel a hell of a lot worse if we give you another shot of dead man's blood." Dean threatened.
"Just let me go." she begged.
"Yeah, you know we can't do that." Dean said.
"I'm telling you the truth. I'm just... I took something. I'm freaking out! I don't know what's going on!" she yelled.
"You took something?" Sam asked.
"Yes! I can't...come down. I just want to come down." she said.
"What's your name?" I asked.
"Lucy. Please, just let me go." she begged again.
"All right, Lucy, how about this? If you tell us what happened, we'll let you go." I said.
"You will?" she asked. Dean nodded then shot me a confused look over her head. "Uh, I don't really... um, it's not that clear. I was at Spider."
"Spider?" Sam asked.
"The club on Jefferson. And there was this guy... he was buying me drinks." she continued.
"This guy... what's he look like?" I asked.
"He was old, like thirty. He had brown hair, a leather jacket... Deacon or Dixon or something. Said he was a dealer... he had something for me." she said.
"Something?" I asked.
"Something new. 'Better than anything you've ever tried.' He put a few drops in my drink." she said.
