Just dance

'So your own office hey?' Soap questioned

'Fuck me. You scared the shit out me u bitch.'

Soap laughed at this. 'How are finding it here pea?'

'Honestly I like it. Everyone here is lovely apart from Ghost.' I paused before a great idea came into my head 'Can we have a couple of drinks in my dorm tonight and play just dance?'

'I would love that. How about after the meeting?'

'Sounds like a plan' it was nice having Soap here. I sat back and remembered how we used to play just dance together all the time growing up. We had a good childhood so when our parents passed away it hit us hard. Soap more than I, Soap had always been raw with his emotions. Where as I seemed to be more stoic, hiding my feelings, a natural defensive mechanism. I brushed off thoughts of my past and made my way down to the meeting room. I sat in a chair and listened.

'This is a dangerous recon mission. Makarov has made an appearance in a town 40miles out from here. We have identified his base however knowing him, Makarov would have already left. We need as much intel as we can. There are many soldiers guarding the base. Failure isn't an option. Plans will be made and we will go from there. We leave in two weeks. So prepare, brush up on your skills. Dismissed'

Me and soap leave the meeting room together, Gaz catching us up.

'Where are you two off too?'

'My room to play just dance and drink. You wanna join?'

'Are you sure you are ready for my smooth moves' Gaz said wiggling his hips.

'No one is ready for that gaz' I say laughing at his stupidity.

We make our way to my dorm and I set up just dance whilst Soap gets the beers out of my fridge. 'PAIGE YOU HAVE VODKA?!' Soap shouted

'Yes why?'

'Drinking game' Soap with a smile on his face. 'Two people dancing at a time and the third can judge whoever dances the best wins and the loser takes a shot'

'Sounds like a plan. Who is up first?'

'Paige and soap you go'

I pressed play and 'can't get you out of my head by kylie minogue' started to play. Me and soap followed the dance on the screen putting our all into it. Dancing and laughing just like when we were kids. The song ended

'I'm sorry Paige but soap absolutely nailed that, take a shot love'

I poured a shot and took it back making a face 'that is still the most disgusting thing ever'

A few dances later and the three of us were drunk and still dancing, we heard a knock on the door. Soap went and answered. To my surprise I saw Ghost.

'Come on ghost' a very drunk soap pulled him into the room. 'It is Paige's and Gaz's turn you can judge them the loser takes a shot' I watched as Ghost sat down taking a beer.

'Girls just wanna have fun by Cydni Lauder' started to play.

Me and Gaz dancing very badly in our drunk state. I was singing my heart out and laughing very hard. It felt nice to be relaxed. After Gaz and I had finished dancing Ghost spoke up.

'Gaz take a shot mate that was shit'

I realised that Ghost needed to catch up. 'Hey ghost I think you should take at least three shots because it is only fair' I smiled at him not caring if he hated me. The other two agreed with me and Ghost reluctantly drank three shots. I watched as soap and Gaz started on their next song, Wannabe by the spice girls.

I sat there laughing while drinking my beer. It was quite a sight seeing two fully grown established men dancing to the spice girls. There dancing was horrendous in all honesty. The song ended me and ghost looked at each other.

'Soap take a shot' we both said in unison.

'Right ghost me and you are up' I say smiling.

Ghost's POV

I was in my dorm when I heard shouting and singing coming from Paige's room. I decided to knock mainly to tell her to shut the fuck up. I was not expecting to see Soap and Gaz in there with her.

'Come on ghost' a very drunk soap pulled me into the room. 'It is Paige's and Gaz's turn you can judge them the loser takes a shot' I sat down and took a beer drinking it watching the two dance. They were very drunk and their dancing showed it. Paige was dancing and singing with a mixture of laughter. It was nice too see how relaxed the two boys were in front of her. The men I usually saw on the field were nothing like this. It's like Paige had let out their inner child. The song finished.

'Gaz take a shot mate that was shit' I said with a small smile on my face. I watched as Gaz drank it and I looked at Paige who looked like she had just had the best idea.

'Hey ghost I think you should take at least three shots because it is only fair' She smiled at me. Just as I was about to say no the other two agreed with her. I took all three shots Gaz and Soap stood up and started dancing to the spice girls. I looked over at Paige who was laughing her head off at the two idiots dancing. For a girl who had a smart mouth she really did seem to be enjoying herself. The song ended, Paige and I looked at each other and in unison both said 'Soap take a shot'

She suddenly stood up and turned to me 'right ghost you and me are up' she smiled down at me.

'Fuck no' I would be entertained by watching them but I was not dancing.

'Don't be such a stuck up whore. Come on' After her persisting for the longest I agreed but on one condition 'I can pick the song'

Paige smiled 'absolutely' I looked through the song tracks each as bad as the next. I saw Beyoncé, my secret of loving her music was not known. Crazy in love started to play we started dancing. I felt like an idiot but looking at Paige's face was worth it. Her face had this dumb look of concentration but also laughter. I had to admit I think she would be winning this one. After the song had finished I knew I had to take a shot so I drank.

'Two wins against you today. I guess it isn't luck' as I was about to reply to Paige, Soap ran off to the bathroom and was sick.

'I think we need to call it a night' I say

'Agreed, Gaz are you ok taking Soap back to his dorm?' Paige asked. She didn't even bat an eyelid that her brother was sick. She made him drink water and take some tablets then cleaned his mouth up and gave him mouth wash. It was like she had done this all her life and it was just second nature to her. It wouldn't surprise me though I can imagine growing up with Soap had that effect on a person.

We all cleared out of her dorm, I went into mine. It felt rather lonely now, for the first time ever I had a smile on my face. I sat on my bed with the song still playing in my head, the images of Paige laughing acting like she wasn't in the special forces made me roll my eyes. She can't take this job seriously, I went to talk to Price about her in the upcoming mission. Hopefully I was able to persuade him to push her abilities.
