Kevin!

Kevin was in his room trying to sleep, but, as usual, the nightmares were keeping him awake. He may not act like it, but the wet bandits scarred him. He had trauma, though, he'd never admit it. His family didn't even know what happened while they were gone. The nightmares were worse tonight, since he was leaving on vacation tomorrow. A school trip with his friends! Sure it sounds like fun, but to Kevin, it's just another opportunity to almost die and get stuck with childhood trauma. And as much as Kevin tried, he couldn't get the thoughts out of his head.

After a painful 9 hours and 30 minutes, Kevin heard his mom coming to wake him up. He hadn't gotten any sleep, but he knew better than to complain. All complaining would do was make people ask questions, questions that he didn't want to answer. He pretended to be asleep, knowing his mom would be easy to fool. To his surprise his mom's footsteps faded away, until he could only hear the creak of the stairs. Where was she going. Then he heard rustling. He looked up and found Linnie, looking through his bag.

"What are you doing!" Kevin exclaimed, making Linnie jump. She set the bag down hastily and ran out of his room, slamming the door on her way out.

What the fuck was that? Was I hallucinating from lack of sleep? Why the hell was she going through my bag?  As Kevin's head swirled with questions, he decided to go see where his mom was. He got up, but quickly fell back onto his bed. His head was spinning, and his eyes were unfocused.

The hell?

He closed his eyes, hoping that would help. He heard a loud ringing in his ears.
