Natasha, your girlfriend, is waiting for your return in the avengers compound. You've been away for a mission, a week now, paired with Wanda Maximoff.
Secretly, Natasha has been worrying about you all week. Natasha has been undoubtedly jealous: constantly thinking of what could possibly happen when she's not there. When you finally return, you see Natasha waiting for you with a stern expression and crossed eyebrows. She's examining you.
"How was the mission?"
"It was good." You say, not giving her any details like you usually do.
"Just 'good'? What happened exactly?" Her expression remains stern. She's still expecting more than you've given her. She still wants to know if anything
really happened. She isn't satisfied yet.
"Not much happened to be honest."
She raises an eyebrow, her voice still firm. "Not much? Were you only with Wanda the whole time?"
"Pretty much."
"Hm." She remains with a stern expression, not wanting to believe you. She can't help but feel jealous, thinking that maybe something else happened.
"Are you hiding something?"
You furrow your eyebrows in confusion. "Why would i be hiding something?"
You're being too vague. It seems like maybe you're hiding something. Why aren't you telling me exactly what happened on the mission? It has to be more than you got along 'greatly' with Wanda.
She pauses.
"Are you cheating on me?"
"No, Natasha, i am not cheating on you, the mission was boring all we did was talk because we couldn't see anyone or anything." You roll your eyes and walk past her.
She pauses as you walk past her but follows you and remains suspicious at your attitude. What you're saying doesn't add up, she thinks to herself. You wouldn't get this defensive if there was nothing to hide, would you? She doesn't want to accuse you of it but she's feeling quite insecure. She wants the truth.
"I thought you said it was good though. Now you're saying it was boring? Which is it?"
"It was boring."
"The mission was boring or you two talking was boring?" She's not believing you one bit. Why are you changing your answers? This doesn't add up. You're not telling the truth. She wants you to convince her otherwise. Her jealousy is getting the better of her.
"The mission was boring."
"Talking with Wanda wasn't boring? Did you guys get along that well?"
She pauses.
"Tell me about the mission. Don't leave any details out. I insist."
"Like i said, we sat in the room for days waiting for any action and nothing happened so we ate, talked, fought, i dont know what to tell you"
She stays silent for a while as she studies you. You're still not convincing her. She wants more details. You were away with Wanda for a whole week and you're just telling her it was a boring mission with nothing more about it.
"What did you guys talk about?"
"You."
"You talked about me?" She says as her eyebrows raise and a slight smirk forms on her lips as a small hint of satisfaction crosses her expression. That was an answer she wanted.
