Butters POV:
"Kenny?"
"Yeah baby?"
"A-are we gonna turn off the light to sleep?"
"Well of course we are, can't sleep with the light on"
He gets up and walks over to the light switch, flipping it off, making me immediately whine and hide under the blanket
"Baby?"
"Mm"
"Hey, what's wrong?"
I just shake my head and stay in the safe place under the blanket, as if I'm a child hiding from the monster in his closet.
"Buttercup. Come out, your okay"
"Kenny, I don't like the dark"
"Aww I'm sorry Buttercup. I'll protect you though, I promise"
I slowly pull the blanket down to turn my attention towards my boyfriend
"You will?"
"Of course I will! I love you and care about you and I don't want you to feel scared."
A smile creeps onto my face as I lean forwards and bring Kenny into a tight embrace
"Kenny, I love you"
"I love you too, Buttercup. You want cuddles to help you feel safe?"
"Mhm"
He lays on his back, and I lay on my side next to him, resting my head on his chest and setting my leg over top his. His arm goes around me, pulling me in closer to him. The warmth of the touch makes me sign contently and scooch closer, soon feeling as if nothing can hurt me. Nothing will be able to get me as long as I'm in Kenny's arms, I trust him and know he'll protect me. I can't help but feel this everytime he pulls me in close.
Cuddles do fix everything.
