_____

It is 12:00am on November 1st when Kenjaku plunges modern day Tokyo into absolute chaos, unleashing a horde of curses upon Itadori Yuuji and his allies as he escapes with the mysterious monk Uraume and the Prison Realm with Gojo Satoru in it.

Approximately five minutes later at 12:05 a.m., the fifty or so curses that had been unleashed upon Itadori Yuuji and his allies have been obliterated. It is not the Special Grade Sorcerer Tsukumo Yuki who defeats them but a small, eleven-year-old girl wielding an aluminum baseball bat like a katana and spewing a monstrously large amount of cursed energy. She had descended upon the curses like a shooting star, piercing through them like a needle into a balloon, the curses exploding outside in a shower of cursed energy bits.

Less than a minute later, the girl promptly bursts into tears before throwing herself at Itadori Yuuji.

“Mama,” she wails, sounding every bit like the child she looks to be. “Mama I was so scarrreedd!”

“Uh,” goes Yuuji.

“Oh shit,” goes Panda, as they all begin to take notice of the child’s pink hair in the exact same shade as Yuuji’s and the way her facial structure matched Yuuji’s despite the additional bits of baby fat on her cheeks.

“I can’t believe Itadori-kun’s already been knocked up,” Nishimiya whispers to Utahime. “Aren’t there like, rules in place to prevent underage Omega pregnancies?”

With how similar the girl looked to Yuuji, in addition to how adamant she was in calling Yuuji, “Mama”, no one believes Yuuji when he insists that she’s not his child.

“I’m not even Mated!” he almost screams, twisting around to show his clearly unmarked neck – a miracle in itself considering how heavily injured he had been before the girl had used Reverse Cursed Technique to heal him.

(“What the actual fuck,” Kusakabe mutters, growing paler every second. “Since when were eleven year old's capable of using Reverse Cursed Technique to heal other people?”)

“But she’s your kid,” Panda (very unhelpfully) points out. “She’s got your hair and everything.”

“Does she have a name?” goes Kamo, asking the sensible question.

The little girl perks up from where she’s glued herself to Yuuji’s side, despite Yuuji’s mounting confusion. “Of course I do! I’m Okkotsu Yuzuki!”

Panda makes a guttural noise in the back of his throat while Kamo lets out an inhuman wheeze that leaves him on the floor. Kusakabe’s eyes have begun to glaze over, the few, remaining bits of his sanity leaving him.

Yuuji looks down at Yuzuki, then back up to everyone else around him, then back down to Yuzuki like a second look will provide him the answers that had eluded him the first time.

Unfortunately, they do not.

“Panda-senpai, I’ve never even met Okkotsu-senpai????”

“Hngh,” is Panda’s very helpful response.

“She is related to you,” Choso confirms later. “I can feel our blood flowing through her veins – she is most definitely your child Yuuji.”

Tokyo is now a den for curses, Yuuji can no longer return to the school for fear that he will put his other classmates in danger and there’s now a teary-eyed eleven-year-old girl clinging to his side and refusing to let go.

He really doesn’t think it could get worse than

It gets worse.

A stranger comes looking for Fushiguro while Yuuji, Choso and Yuzuki are hunting curses in Tokyo, informing them that Yuuji is to be executed again now that he no longer has Gojo’s protection.

As it summoned by the stranger’s words, Yuuji’s executioner arrives on the scene. He wields a katana with every intention of running it through Yuuji’s heart.

That is not the worst part.

The worst part comes when Yuzuki takes one look at Yuuji’s executioner and screams, “PAPA!”

Yuuji’s breath leaves his lungs because this was Okkotsu-senpai? This was his (supposed) mate?!

“Absolutely not!” Choso yells, indignant. “I refuse to allow my little brother to mate with his executioner. Yuzuki, this is not your Papa!”

“Of course he’s my Papa!” Yuzuki stomps her feet, pointing back to a now frozen Okkotsu Yuuta. “There’s no way I wouldn’t recognize my Papa, Uncle Choso!”

“Am I missing something here?” Naoya asks to no one in particular and is, unsurprisingly, ignored.

“As your Uncle and as Yuuji’s older brother, I do not accept Okkotsu Yuuta as a member of the family,” Choso states.

“But he’s my Papa.” Yuzuki begins to tear up, turning her wobbling lips and big eyes towards Yuuji. “Mama, you love Papa don’t you? You wouldn’t ever leave Papa, would you?”

I’ve literally just met him, Yuuji wants to say.

I’m pretty sure he’s going to kill me before we can even talk about being Mates, is another thing Yuuji wants to say.

Somehow, things get better.

As it turns out, Okkotsu-senpai had been on his side the entire time. He had decided to be a double agent and trick the higher-ups to protect a boy he had only heard about from Gojo.

Yuzuki proudly says it’s because her Mama and Papa’s bond was “true love”. Choso solemnly tells Yuuta that he will now allow Yuuta to call him “brother”.

Yuuji, head in his hands, thinks he’d rather be executed all over again.
