(After Reading the last letter)

Cole,

It's been a while since I received your letters, and I've hesitated to respond. I appreciate your words and the sincerity in your apologies. The memories we shared were special, and your absence has left a void.

The events you mentioned, the battles we faced, and the challenges we overcame—they only served to highlight what was missing. I can't deny the bond we had, and there's a part of me that wishes things had turned out differently.

But, Cole, the pain caused by your departure runs deep. I've spent countless nights wrestling with my emotions, torn between the past and the present. Forgiveness isn't something that comes easily, and I'm still navigating through the maze of my feelings.

Your regret is palpable, and I can sense the genuine desire for reconciliation. As much as I want to move forward, uncertainty lingers. I need time to heal and to understand whether forgiveness is possible.

I don't want you to interpret this as a rejection. It's an acknowledgment of the complexity of emotions. I hope you can respect that.

Take care,

Y/n
