Death of a father

James pov

Even after the funeral still am torn up over how it happened. To me my dad was invincible,untouchable. But I must stay strong and live by the  words with great power comes great responsibility to carry on and honor his leagcy. I will make sure to share his ideas with the world. 

Flashback(james pov)

After a long day of hero work i head back to my dads lab to work on some experiments i had going. As i walked past the other employees that my dad hired (some of them reformed villans but i treated them with respect none the less) i would greet them but something was off they were panicking all over the place i check to see whats up with dad but before i can get a word out he tells me to suit up With  nothing in his voice by dread. I ask if i should get tobi but he said no that tobi is not close enough to help out and that he is not ready to face such a threat. I was caught off guard by this but i followed through after i got done we headed on our way to the danger. I could see it from a mile away a path of destruction leading through the city cars were lodged in building and overturned fires burning in windows and everynow and again there was a body i would check for a pulse but had no luck.

As we got to the cause of such a disaster we find a if not hulk a hulk sized figure standing in the middle of a crater chuckling to h themslevs dad says to never underestmate an opponet i knew who ever this was they were dangerous as we approached them i realized it was worse than i thought it was juggernaut but not the one i fought when i saw him i realized he had the carnage symbiote and in the middle of his chest was a power enhancer from hammer industries i knew the symboite was a danger all by its self from case files and stories that my dad told me. With a power enhancer he would be twice as dangerous. He launch himself at us while laughing maniacally as he turned his hands into sharp blades and realeased a flury of strikes and swipes and stabs. My dad was stuggling to dodge as the symbiote enhanced his speed and strength further the symbiote reapting the phrase carnage is chaos and laughing. In an attempt to get his attention i threw a car at him i realized i had only pissed him off as he turned to face i got into i stance as my dad snuck up a wall behind the crazed killer to keep him distracted i fired multiple webs at him he just looked at me unamused as i make a joke about his mom dad launched his attack he jumped from the wall prepared to strike with the force of a heavy arrtilary gun i watched in disbelief as he fell to the ground. It slowly dawned upon me what happened he had been stabbed by the creature faster than the eye could follow. Out of rage knocked the monster into a nearby building and went to check on my i was on the verge of tears i told him that everything was going to be okay but he just chuckled and made a joke about me being needing to be his stunt double before he nodded off as i was assecing the damage the symbiote started to get up again. I moved my father out of harm's way ready to beat the monster in front of me to a pulp. The thing approached me as I extended my claws and stingers and charged. Our blades collided i yelled angrily in cussing the creature out in spanish. I slashed off pieces of the symbiote making sure to web them to the ground and walls to prevent them from joining the creature once again. I stabbed wildly with no remorse of what would happen to the host. Slowly  i cut the beast down to where i could rip the rest off with my webshooters after doing so i stuck it to a wall and went to finish off juggernaugt  who was almost was unrecognizable i was going to deal a leathal blow but then remebered that killing him would make me just as bad as carnage so instead i struck him in the forearm with my stinger rendering him unconscious as a sheild clean up team fixed the damage i checked with the field medic that was checking my father as he looked up at me  i took off my mask and looked at him expectingly but he only looked down and shook his head. I choked back a sob not ready to accept that he was dead. The funeral was three days later almost every one was there except tobi he was still on his trip. As spoke of all the things my dad did that i will make sure to honor his dream of a better world. Suprisingly no knew that i was spider-x.

Flashback end

As i sat in my room tobi burst through the door with a smile before frowning after seeing my expression James whats wrong where's your dad? He asked i lowered my head in sorrow and said don't you know h-he's dead as i chocked on my own words. What? Tobi said with his eyes wide in shock.
