(Astrid's POV)

School... It's not the best thing in the world. I wake up at 5 in the morning to help the teachers set up and get ready for the day. I never set aside any time for myself in the mornings.  They rarely have to set up the classroom to get ready for the day because I was there doing that exact thing. The teacher's pet can be annoying, yes. They were also up, but they were awake like, "Rise 'n Shine!" I don't get it. How are they wide awake, ready to learn... Yet I have to be tired!? That's not fair. Anyways, it's the last class of the day. I can't keep my eyes open much longer, as they feel heavy. Everyone's chatter was starting to silence as I finally dozed off. The final bell rang, signaling that the school day was over.

"H....Hel......Hello? Earth to Astrid?"

I could feel the person attempting to shake me awake. I was too sleepy to deal with this at all.

"Ughh.. Aaron? What are you doing? I'm trying to sleep," I responded, looking up at Aaron.

Aaron, although being a teacher's pet, he actually cared about others. There was a hint of concern in his eyes.

"School's over, bud, come on! We're going on a field trip tomorrow!"

He knew where this was going, the senior trip was to an amusement park. That did not ring a bell for me.

"Aren't you excited for the senior trip to Odd World?" Aaron questioned, smiling from excitement.

"I don't feel excited... I feel rather nervous," I stated, finally getting the gist.

"What!? Why are you feeling nervous? It's supposed to be a fun trip!"

"What if something happens during the trip?"

He sighed before grabbing my arm to help me up as he said: "You play too much Rainbow Friends. If it helps, you can sit next to me in the front. Nothing will happen, just trust me."

I can feel a jinx incoming, either way, he had planned a sleepover at his house and invited me to it. When I got home, I packed my stuff for a normal sleep over. I also brought my school bag because we were heading straight to school the next day. I made my way there, but I was surprised to realize I was the first one there.

"Make yourself comfortable, the rest of my friends will be here soon," he mentioned.

I went to the living room and sat on the couch. I was on my phone, while waiting for them. 15 minutes later, they arrived and boy, were they chatting a bunch. I noticed one come up to me. "Hey, where did you get that outfit?"

I was wearing a scarecrow costume. I felt nervous as I told him: "Oh, I got it at a store nearby. If you don't like it, I-"

He interrupted me mid-sentence, held my arms and leaned down to my level. "Hey, no. It's okay. You look amazing."

"Are you... also wearing a scarecrow costume?" I asked, looking up at him.

"Yeah."

After a minute of silence, it took a minute to realize what just happened.

"Costume buddies!" He exclaimed as he hugged me.

A smile formed on my face, as we both broke the hug. "What do we do now?"

"Okay here me out. How about we do game night?" I suggested.

The rest of them cheered, I was glad to know that I wasn't the only one who liked to play games. We played games like Sardines, Ghost in the Graveyard, any game that could take up our energy from running around. After a bit, we decided to chill out and play Never Have I Ever. We played using cards, and if you have done it, you put a card down. The last one to run out of cards was declared the winner, and we start with 10. After 20 minutes, I was down to 6 cards while Aaron had 3.
