Why Does Love Hurt?

Hey y'all sorry for taking so long to update again!  But this tone I might update the next chapter this week so be prepared for the first fast update hahaha well I hope you like this chapter please comment and vote ! ^^

Crickets and frogs slowly quieted down as the sun appeared over the wall peeking into Levi's room. As sunrays danced in his room he woke up to the sound of the birds beginning to chirp at the dawn.

Dark circles under his eyes, even more evident than usual, he got up out of bed and drug his feet across the floor to his wash room. Being a captain he had such lugsuries as having his own bath and sink but he really didn't care.

He stared himself down in the mirror and puffy red eyes that he barely recognized stared back at him. "God dammit Levi you look like a piece of shit ," he grumbled to himself as he washed his face in the sink.

Soon he was dressed and ready, scarf and all although still not lookng quite as proper as normal. He sighed as he headed out the door attempting and almost succeeding at looking normal.

'I think I might give Ebony some excersize today' Levi thought as he headed towards the horse stables, ' it may be nice to go out for once and still be alone '

"Heeeeeey Leviiii!!!!!" Hange yelled down the hall from him waving her hand like a crazy women. "Oh God help me," Levi grumbled as she rushed towards him.

Soon she clasped her arm around his shoulder and leaned into him , "So I see you finaly got out of your room grumpy pants ," she teased , " what you gonna do?!"

"Well I was thinking I would go ride Ebony," he replied without thinking.

"Your horse?! Can I come with ?! I'm sure Dragon would love to get some excersize to!!!! Please please please Levi!" the brunette begged jumping up and down in front of him.

"Tch I guess I can't stop you," he sighed rolling his eyes.

"Yay!!!!" Hange squealed as she threw her hands up in the air and spinned around once.

Levi then continued to head towards the stables Hange skipping beside him.

The horses grunts and whinnies filled the barn as Hange and Levi entered and grabbed their tack. Levi's 15 hand mare nipped at him playfully which made him feel a little better as he tightened her girth. Once he had her bridal on and her chest plate he hopped on and walked over by Hange.

"Not that I care but... you ready ?" He asked nonchalantly.

"Yep !" She squeaked hopping onto her 16.3 hand red thoroughbred gelding.

"Tch," was all Levi replied with and a roll of his eyes as he quickly kicked his horse into a gallop and directed him across the field.

Hange kept up close behind but, so that Levi couldn't see her hurt expression, she stayed back a bit .

Miles of green flat land spread out beside them as the two rode their horses over the field. The wall in the distance seemed forever away and the world outside it thag much harder to reach. The sun moved overhead and then ape are in front of them. Soon they became much closer to the woods where the hunter woukd sometimes get the food although lately there wasn't much to hunt. Hange watched as a dear walked along the forest line in the distance and another beautiful bird flew overhead.

"I wonder what he is thinking ... I wonder if he is ok" she whispered to herself, " I wonder what I can do to make him feel better..."

Then an idea sparked into her head 'how about a friendly competitive race?!'

She then kicked her horse on to where the two were galloping side by side, " Hey shorty how about a little race ?!" She said excitedly a wide grin spreading across her face.
