Ciel woke up to Nagamitsu snuggled into his chest. The young earl smiled to himself. "My lord, you have a meeting in approximately two hours." Sebastian held the breakfast tray and was tapping his foot impatiently. Ciel sat up and Nagamitsu whined softly. The Phantomhive boy patted the smaller male's head. "Sebastian, I want you to see that Nagamitsu gets time outside or has a spare few minutes with her." Ciel elaborated the last word so Sebastian realized he meant Elizabeth. The Midford heiress had been upset that she couldn't marry Ciel, but she liked Nagamitsu's company nonetheless. At his name had been said, Nagamitsu yawned and raised his head slightly. "Good morning, love." Ciel smiled and pulled Nagamitsu into a hug. The young solider smiled gently, then kissed Ciel's cheek. "Ohayō, koibito." Nagamitsu let his head rest on Ciel's shoulder. After breakfast was done and over with, Ciel kissed Nagamitsu's head. "I have to go to a meeting in a little while. Will you behave for Sebastian and the others?" Ciel asked, though there was no reason to. Nagamitsu had a grand time chatting with Finnian in the garden, helping Bardroy cook, even washing dishes with Mey-Rin. It was obvious that Nagamitsu longed to go home and see his family. The children stayed with Nagamitsu's uncle and aunt. It was too bizarre to explain what Nagamitsu was and how he could birth children. Instead, Ciel and Nagamitsu pretended to talk about adopting. Elizabeth had ventured with them to meet Nagamitsu's family once, and she fell hard for Prince Achilles. Heartbreak followed, seeing that Nagamitsu's cousin Baalberith was betrothed to him. Prince Sigmund was betrothed to Baalberith's sister, Laevateinn. Barbatos, Nagamitsu's uncle, had arranged a betrothal for Nagamitsu and Ciel. They had to wait at least two more years, being that Ciel had to be turned into a daemon first. Nagamitsu pouted cutely. "When are you gonna stay home?" The tan boy hugged his lover. Ciel stroked Nagamitsu's head. "You can put a halo in my hair." Nagamitsu's pout dissapeared and he smiled. Nagamitsu wove a delicate braid around Ciel's brow. The Phantomhive didn't mind that Nagamitsu played with his hair. Nagamitsu hummed as he plaited the black-haired boy's locks. After barely three minutes, Nagamitsu tapped Ciel's nose. "All done." Ciel hurried and dressed quickly. Sebastian tapped his watch impatiently. Ciel kissed Nagamitsu's cheek. "I'll be back, love." Ciel smiled gently at the sword Anima. The first time Ciel left on business, Nagamitsu had burst into tears from loneliness. The younger boy had gotten better about the raven-haired male leaving, but he saw tears were already on the brink of falling. Ciel's heart shattered. He was usually the reason Nagamitsu cried. Harsh words he didn't mean, cruel blows to his face, even raping the younger. Nagamitsu still loved Ciel nonetheless. "I-I'll be ok." Nagamitsu brushed his cheeks with his sleeve. Ciel scooped him into a tight hug. The embrace was warm and comforting. "Don't cry. I don't think they'll be able to handle it like Sebastian does." And that was true. If Ciel couldn't calm Nagamitsu's crying, Sebastian would always be the one to coax him to sleep or to calm down enough so he could talk. The second Ciel felt Nagamitsu's shoulders tremble, he didn't want to leave. Ciel looked at his butler pleadingly. Sebastian glanced at his watch. "Young master, we have less that thirty minutes." Nagamitsu's grip tightened. Sebastian gently rubbed the smaller boy's head. Nagamitsu let go of Ciel and wiped his eyes. "Bye. See you later.." Nagamitsu's voice cracked. Sebastian quickly escorted Nagamitsu to the room he shared with Ciel. Sebastian hurried back and swept Ciel into the carriage.

The young solider sat on his bed, crying silently. He hated it when Ciel left him. He felt vulnerable and alone. Mey-Rin walked in. "Bocchan-kun, would you like something to drink?" Her voice was calm, yet shaky. Nagamitsu looked up and nodded. Mey-Rin returned with a purple liquid in a teacup. Nagamitsu took a sip, and decided he liked it. It tasted like his favorite dessert, sata andagi. Nagamitsu felt a strange burning sensation in his throat after he swallowed the remaining amount of the liquid, causing him to cry out. After a few moments of crying, the boy blacked out.
