Chapter 1

Pov: Third Person, focus Shadow

FOOM! Sonic raced paced me. He isn't getting away this time! Shadow thought, reaching his hands out, and shoating the fimilar words "CHAOS! CONTROL!" He appered right next to Sonic. Shit, he's to fast! Gotta out smart him. Sonic smirked at Shadow and lunged at him tackling him to the ground. Shadow as the stronger hedghog pinned Sonic down. Sonic quickly looked around for a way to escape Shadow's tough grip and the hard ground his back was forced upon.

"Got you Sonic." Shadow wispered into Sonic's ear, he was itching to close the space between him and Sonic. Shadow stared into Sonic's emerlad eyes, wondering if this blue hedgehog could ever love him back. Shadow had layed eyes on Sonic ever since he first saw him, but because he was Sonic's "rival" Shadow knew they could never get together, or least not to the puplic. Sonic snapped all of Shadow's thought's away when he spindashed into Shadow's stomach, throwing Shadow off Sonic.

"You're to slow!" Sonic said playfully, while bolting to the oppisite direction of Shadow. Sonic turned around and ran backwards to mock Shadow. Shadow kept running towards Sonic noticeing that they were exiting the forest and entering into a rocky path. Trees, plants, and the green grass was being replaced with sand, dirt, and rocks. They were about running for half-an-hour, and the sun was starting to set. Shadow was starting to feel a pain in his chest, but Sonic kept running backwards. I might be tired, but there isn't anywhere else I'd want to be, Shadow thought. Sonic and Shadow normaly hung out, chill, and carefully fought each other for a while now, but everyone else thought it was them hurting each other. Shadow was glad it was this way, just wanted a little more with Sonic and Shadow's relationship. It's so pretty here, I love the rocks, I perfer caves, but this is way better then caves when Sonic's here, and that's a pretty-

"Cliff! Sonic wait." Shadow yelled in terror, which caught Sonic off guard. Sonic was to fast to stop and fell right off the cliff. As fast as a heartbeat, Shadow jumped off the cliff, caught Sonic, streched out his hand and yelled the fimilar words. "CHAOS! CONTROL!" They both appered on top of the cliff, but this time they stopped, Shadow put Sonic down.

"Uhhh, sorry Shadow, I should have been looking." Sonic said looking down at his feet to hide his blush. "Thanks." He wispered queitly, he wasn't used to Shadow saving his life, or ever really being there. Shadow smiled softly, getting really excited on the inside seeing his blush, but telling himself, Shut up Shadow, he's just embarresed. Then Shadow lifted up Sonic's chin, and smiled softly at him.

"Don't be embarresed it's fine." Shadow said softly. Sonic's face was even redder now.

"O-o-ok, Shadow." Sonic took a step backwards, no idea what Shadow was going to do next.

"Here, this might make you feel better." Shadow grabbed Sonic's face, and pressed his lips aganist sonic's. Sonic's eyes shot straight open, not expecting what just happened. Shadow's heart beaten faster then the speed of sound, scared of rejection. The kiss lasted about 3 secounds before Sonic pushed Shadow off.

"I'm sorry Shadow, I-I-I just can't." Sonic mumbled looking down.

"ok." Shadow quietly said, "sorry, CHAOS! CONTROL!" He appered behind a large bolder a few yards away from Sonic. He wanted to see what Sonic was going to do. Maybe, Sonic was just to nevous, or something like that, maybe he'll confess something like a dramatic movie scene. Were almost the same age, couple months apart. Shadow waited, and then someone appered. A Silver hedghog.

"Hey, Sonic. Is something wrong, you normally look happy." Silver looked at the blue hedgehog with great worry.

"I don't want to talk about it just not the best day, Sil." Sonic said with a sigh, Silver took a seat nexted to him, and stared into the beutiful Sunset, and the cliff in veiw. What's going to happen? I can't leave or they'll see me.
