Help Laxus

I run through the streets of Magnolia, searching for anyone in the Thunder Legion. I pass the toy store and see that the roof of it looks torn up. This is exactly the place where Bickslow would choose to fight, so I head up to the roof to see if I can find him there. “Bickslow? Are you up here?” I hear some shuffling a little to my left, “Munchkin? What are you doing up here? Shouldn’t you be with Laxus?” I turn in the direction of his voice and see him sitting against the wall, holding his stomach. His helmet has disappeared, so his hair is out in the open, all messed up. I smile and sigh, relieved to see him at least conscious. “Hey. No, I’m not staying with Laxus anymore. He’s lost it, Bix.” I walk over to him and kneel down next to him. He looks at me, confused, but not surprised. “Well, I guess we’re screwed. It’s not like anyone’s gonna be able to defeat him. And the Thunder Palace is going to be activated any minute now. None of us know how to stop it.” I place my hand on his shoulder and he looks at me expectantly, “I don’t know who that man is in Kardia Cathedral. But whoever he is, he took our leader. He’s not going to let him go unless we force him to. Now we can easily just sit here and wallow in our own self pity, or we can actually do something about it and try to save him. And it starts with finding the rest of the Thunder Legion.”  He smirks at me, and stands up with my help and says, “Well, what are we waiting for? You ready to go babies?” His ‘babies’ show up behind him, “Let’s go! Let’s go!”

We’re about to start walking when we hear Warren’s voice, “Hey Fairy Tailers, can you hear me? Things aren’t going very good for us, check out what’s floating in the sky.” “That’s Warren!” The rest of our guildmates start to speak occasionally through the telepathy. It goes on until people start yelling at each other, obviously still salty about their previous fights. Seriously? Are they that childish? Bickslow and I look at each other with an ‘are you serious’ face. I’m about to yell at all of them, but Lucy beats me to the punch, “SHUT UP!!!” Everyone stops talking, shocked by her outburst. She gives an amazing girlboss speech that lifts everyone’s spirits up. We’re all about to break off the telepathy, but Alzack’s voice stops us, “Hey Candy, you there?” Everyone is silent, waiting to hear my answer, “Yeah, I’m here.” I say. It’s uncomfortable and quiet now. Alzack continues, “Good. Now, tell me, is he still your hero after bringing innocent civilians into this?” There’s disgust in his voice, I can hear it. Despite the fact that this pisses me off, I keep my cool and answer him, “Yes he is. Because he saved my life way before he threatened it. I don’t care if you still have beef with me after our fight, it’s only normal to be upset after losing that badly.” He cuts me off, “Why do you make it sound like I’m some kind of weakling?” I ignore this and keep talking, “But all I know is that Rosie and I would’ve died if Laxus and the Thunder Legion didn’t take us to Fairy Tail. We were starving and worth nothing to anybody. Except for him. Laxus is just as much of a victim here as every one of us. He’s a victim to the rage that kept boiling up because none of you sought to help him with it. It doesn’t matter if he’s Master Makarov’s grandson or not. He’s still a member of our guild, and I know that doesn’t justify him for his actions. Even I saw that he’s acting like a monster. But if we don’t stop his Thunder Palace spell, he’s never going to be able to recover from that. Are we really just going to let him do that because we’re too petty to get over a little bruise?” It’s silent, too silent. I start to wonder if anyone was really listening to me, until I hear Freed speak up, “She’s only 13 and she’s smarter than everyone here. Even I find that amusing.” The others in the guild start laughing. I breathe a sigh of relief. Bickslow, who I honestly forgot was next to me, hooks his arm around my shoulders and says, “So did Candy really beat your butt that bad Alzack? Guess you have some improving to do!” The others laugh even louder this time and Alzack just starts yelling in defense, “She didn’t beat me that bad! I was just caught off guard!!” Everyone stopped laughing, and finally got serious.
