There is a beautiful landscape with a sunrise on the horizon. A choir sings peacefully in the background and Marty the zebra comes in swinging from a vine. Marty gracefully lands on the ground behind a choir of penguins. Marty runs straight through the choir as they fly off. Behind pop out (Y/n) and Alex from a bush of tall grass. They both watch Marty in anticipation as he keeps running through the wild. (Y/n) and Alex sneak up on Marty as he was going towards to a lake, but (Y/n) and Alex pops in front of him. "Surprise!" They said. Marty screams, bringing him back to the real world. In reality, he was on a treadmill in his habitat in the New York Central Park Zoo.

He falls off his treadmill and crashes on the fence. "Guys. Do not interrupt me when I'm daydreaming. When a zebra's in the zone, leave him alone." Marty points at a mural of the wild while he gets back on his treadmill. "Come on. We just wanted to wish you a happy birthday." (Y/n) said. "Hey, guys, thanks." Marty said. Alex holds his jaw, moaning in pain. "Hey, I got something stuck in my teeth. It's driving me crazy. Can you help me out here? Please?" Alex asked. "You came to the right place, my friend. Dr. Marty, D.D.S., is in the house. Please hop on top of my sterilized examination table, if you may." Alex jumps on a stone platform as Marty examines his mouth. "I don't see anything." He said. "It's on the left." Alex said. "Ow!" Marty said. "Oh, sorry." Alex said. "OK, just don't talk with your mouth full." Marty pulls out a snow globe from Alex's mouth. "Right here. What the heck is this doing in there?" He asked.

"Happy birthday!" Alex said. "Aw, hey, thanks, man. You put it in behind the tooth. You all right." Marty said. (Y/n) took out her own snow globe of New York City and gave it to Marty. "Happy Birthday, Marty." She said. "Thanks, (Y/n)." He said. "These aren't even on the shelf yet. Here." Alex shakes the snow globe and hands it back to Marty. "Check it out. Check it out. Look at that. Ooh! Look at that. Look at that. It's snowing." Marty sees that in the middle of the snow globe is Alex doing his famous pose. "Ten years old, huh? A decade. Double digits. The big 1-0." Marty's smile falters. "You don't like it?" Alex asked. "No, no, it's great." Marty said. "You hate it. I should've gotten you the Alex alarm clock. That's the one. That's the big seller." Alex said. "No, no, no. The present's great, really." Marty puts the snow globe with a collection of Alex's other gifts, which are just souvenirs of him. "It's just that another year's come and gone and I'm still doing the same old thing. "Stand over here. Trot over there. Eat some grass. Walk back over here." Marty said.

"I see your problem." Alex said. "Maybe I should go to law school." Marty said. "I think maybe you just need a new routine." (Y/n) said. "Exactly. Throw out the old act. Get out there. Who knows what you're gonna do. Make it up as you go along. Ad lib. Improvise. On the fly. Boom, boom, boom." Alex said. "Really?" Marty asked. "You know, make it fresh." (Y/n) said. "Fresh, huh? OK. I could do fresh." Marty said. Alex gets so excited he flips onto Gloria the hippo's habitat, waking her up from her sleep by dancing on her back. "Let's go, Gloria! Up and at 'em. We're open!" Alex said. "What day is it?" She asked. "It's Friday, filed trip day." (Y/n) said. "Yes, it's field trip day. Let's get up and go... in ten more minutes."

She falls back to sleep. (Y/n) follows Alex as he swings on a light post and lands on top of Melman the giraffe's small house. Alex dances on the roof waking up Melman. "Come on! Melman, Melman, Melman! Melman, Melman, Melman! Wake up! Rise and shine! It's another fabulous morning in the Big Apple. Let's go." Alex said. Melman comes out wearing a cone. "Not for me. I'm calling in sick." He said. "What?" (Y/n) asked. "I found another brown spot on my shoulder. Right here. See? Right there. You see?" Melman asked. "Melman, you know it's all in your head. Hm?" Alex asked. Children and adults run into the zoo as the gates open, excited to see all the animals. "Let's go! Come on!" A man throws a piece of trash in the garbage can in front of the Chimps' habitat. Inside, Mason wakes up and makes his way to the garbage can to fish out some coffee, a newspaper, and a bagel. Mason makes his way over to Phil. "Phil!" He hits Phil with a newspaper. "Wake up, you filthy monkey." Mason places the coffee in Phil's paws as he reads the newspaper and munches on the bagel. Phil gargles the coffee.
