"Dinner time!" Mom yelled. A vast amount of lettuce and parsley got dumped into our massive food bowl for all of us to eat. It's almost like a pigsty, but for us rabbits. I would always be full after munching one or two lettuce leaves, but my mother would insist on me eating more, so I did. I would also secretly help my siblings finish their portions because I didn't want them to get into any trouble. One time, one of my sisters didn't finish her portioning of the meal and was grounded for a whole week. It was harsh, but we learned our lesson. My siblings always helped me since I always returned so late, so that was the least I could do.

"Thank you sister!" whispered my brother as I finished eating the last of his parsley.

"You're welcome," I quietly smiled. I was so full, but it was worth it. I would do anything to keep my siblings happy.

After dinner, the humans came to pick up the extra food. Usually, after that, blue latex hands would reach down into our home and take another one of my siblings. However, it was normal by now. My older sister, with the black fur, went often. After she was done, she would come back and go to bed. In the little time we could've had together, I decided not to bother her or ask any questions. I knew that she would probably ignore me. The routine had almost always been the same, leaving my sister sleeping during the day and me sleeping during the night. That's all there was to it.

Is it time? I watched as the latex hand hovered slowly over me. I guess it was time. I was placed on a table and fed a treat. The humans are so nice. They have taken care of me since the day I was born, along with my mother and the rest of my siblings. I never want to leave this place. My home was perfect.

As I got picked up, I looked up and noticed my human holding me and a human beside them were talking to each other. "Seriously, why don't we just sell this one? This one is super rare on the market nowadays. We could be rich, Dayna. Think about it!" Said the human next to mine.

"I don't know, Dan. Maybe because it's our job is to TAKE CARE of these rabbits and not sell them!" said my human sarcastically. "Also, haven't you heard the rumors? They say these types of rabbits are carrying a disease right now."

"Well, if we sell this thing, that would be their problem. NOT ours!"

"Ugh, I've had enough of your crap, Dan. I'm just doing my job." The human turned and stomped back towards the entrance of the room, slamming the door. My human then placed me on the cold metal table.

I sat on that table feeling very confused. I had suddenly felt very sick to the stomach. For some reason, I could not move. I was frozen in place, shaking like there was no tomorrow. I could deftly put my finger on this feeling.

"Not this feeling again", I thought. I've felt this feeling before. A different human approached the table. A nasty grin spread across the human's face. I was scared. He strutted toward me like a predator. Once he got close enough, he trapped me and tightly put me in his arms. I kicked and screamed, not knowing what he would do to me. Eventually, the only thing I could move were my eyes. He squeezed me tightly, making sure I wouldn't escape.

"All mine," he smirked while looking down at my defeated self. It was the same human who was talking to the human who was holding me just a minute ago. I started to shake. "Why?" I whimpered softly under my breath.

Suddenly, the door swung wide open. The human from before started yelling at the man, "PUT HER DOWN!"

The man jumped. I was quickly placed back on the table. I was still frozen in shock. I was scared. I didn't want any of this. I just wanted to go back home. My thoughts spun around my head like a carousel. I felt dizzy. I was starting to lose consciousness. My heart throbbed painfully by the fear of my defeat. I started to fall. I started to fall back into that deep and empty abyss. Everything went silent.
