Silver would lay motionless on a empty mattress on the floor.

His eyes were open, he hardly got any sleep. He just felt so.. devastated. He would sigh as he would think back to the day before.

Silver had loved Blaze. He loved Blaze more than anything, she was his best friend. The one who stuck with him through everything.

He loved her.

But. It wasn't meant to be. He tried to ask her out, try to confess his true feelings.. but all he got in return was a "It wasn't meant to be." This broke him. Why? Why not... He knows she was from another dimension, and how that would make things complicated..but..it could still work?.. Right?... He was devastated. He couldn't even cry.

He knew it wasn't her fault. She was very kind in telling him that she didn't want to be in a relationship. Silver was glad that they would still be friends.

However, that didn't stop his heartbreak.

He slowly sat himself up. Rubbing his eyes as he slowly got up. He has to take his mind off this. He left his crusty hotel room, walking through the halls that smelt like cigarettes.

This hotel was the best place he could afford right now. Silver had been living in the past for a few months now. He certainly liked it here more than his future. He would then exit the hotel.

He walked through the streets and observed the buildings and the people of this era: It was a vast improvement compared to the wasteland that filled his future.

He sighed, thinking about the events that occurred yesterday and his failed confession to Blaze.

A few tears would run down his face as he walked down the street. He wasn't sure what he was gonna do, but he did know he couldn't just stay inside.

As he looks up, he sees a cafe not too far away from where he was. And the sign outside of it said they served all kinds of coffee drinks, but that's not really why Silver was going there. He just wanted to have some time out, to relax for a second, maybe even get a hot coffee while he's there. He walks inside.

He enters the cafe, which is pretty empty. It was very early early in the morning. He orders a small coffee, and go sits down to wait for his order. As he gloomily waits, he spots the only other costumer in the cafe, Amy rose.

He recalled back to when he had first came to the past. She was one of the first to interact with him. Silver is flushed with happier memories, and smiles softly to himself.

Anything that could take his mind off blaze would be good for him. He even chuckled when remembering that she mistook him for sonic.

Amy would hear his chuckling, and quickly fix her gaze from her breakfast over to silver. Her expression was blank, before recalling who he was! Her face turned into a smile as she waved at him. Silver took this as a chance to invite himself to sit with her.
