Behind Blood Red Eyes (Murder Drones x male reader)

Episode 5 : Home Part 3

As the hour of the gala nears, guests begin arriving, piling into the mansion's main entrance as they wait for the event to begin; however, unbeknownst to them, Tessa and J are sneaking about on the overhanging balconies, doing their best to find and stop Cyn before she arrives. Darting from one guardrail support to the other, the girl looks back at her companion before asking for advice, "How do you reckon we murder us a robo-child J?"

Before the human can get an answer, she stumbles into a suit of armor, just managing to prevent it from toppling over. As she's straightening it, Tessa's eyes linger on the sword clasped between the knight's empty gloves. Meanwhile, J walks up to a display case containing an antique gun, though the plaque below it doesn't give off that impression as it bears the words, "It's a revolver IDK."

Reaching in, the machine looks into the chamber before closing it and turning around to show Tessa her find, the girl doing the same as they simultaneously speak the same words, "How about this?" Looking at each other's weapons, then their own, they quickly swap tools, more satisfied with the new setup. Just then, their attention is pulled away from their weapons as they see N and Uzi ducking behind a guard rail. N whispers, "Psst. Tessa."

After getting their attention, N immediately makes a gesture to tell them to keep their voices down, worry and panic painted all over his face. As the two females look to each other with confused expressions, something drops from the ceiling, prompting them to look down and see a pair of cracked glasses. Upon turning their gazes up, a burst of lightning reveals V, now with bat-like wings, crawling on the ceiling before suddenly vanishing during the periodic flashes.

Instantly, the human, crow, and both worker drones go back to back, with Tessa frantically pointing the revolver around at the ceiling. After a brief moment, N leans towards the girl, getting straight to the point while still whispering, "We need the basement key; this bird's from the future." As N finishes, Uzi flies over to J and snatches the key, proudly declaring her role in the machine's future demise, "I kill you."

With the key in hand, Uzi returns to N as Tessa explains her predicament, "Cyn's gonna massacre the gala!" These words catch N off guard as he looks at the human in disbelief, "Who? Our Cyn? Nah, she's cool." Before the human has a chance to explain the reality of what Cyn is, V falls from the ceiling, and into the circle's center, throwing everyone away before lunging for Tessa, claws poised to strike.

Just before the claws hit, J intercepts the attack with the sword, forcing V back while she calls out to N and Uzi, "Do your basement thing; we got the coma patient you creeped on!" Offended by her words, N quickly responds, "Not creepy, sweet!" Just as he turns around to make a run for it, he finds himself facing V, the twisted machine having somehow already cut him off.

Lunging at him, V forces N to fall, making Uzi drop the key in the process which the corrupt worker drone rushes for it; however, J quickly stabs the sword into the machine's hand, pinning it to the ground, while Tessa throws the basement key back to N. While he's thumbing to get a better grip, V pulls the weapon out and throws it at the male worker drone.

Suddenly, the window behind them shatters as a metal wing slides between the sword and worker drone, the weapon clanging off the appendage's feather-like spines as they slide into place. It takes a few moments for Uzi to realize what happened, but as soon as the dust clears, she can tell who it is, "(Y/N)?! Wait; why are you in N's memories?!" Unfortunately for Uzi, she doesn't get an answer as the ravager drone kicks the sword away. J quickly catches it before rushing V and (Y/N), the former taking flight while the latter deflects the blade before roaring and throwing himself into the brawl.

As claw, wing, and sword clash on the balcony, the racket unsurprisingly attracts the attention of the guests below as one of them shouts complete gibberish, "Crikey! What abounding humphterfruffle!" A lady next to him then looks at the man in confusion, "Why are you talking like that?"
