Aurora somewhat woke up from her sleep in the carriage. She couldn't help, but hear Sukuna talking to himself by the fire. "Is this seat taken, my Lord?" She asked while rubbing her red eyes due to her crying earlier. "No, but you can sit down if you wish." He answered with a little warning behind it. "Thank you." Aurora sat down next to Sukuna and was hesitant to speak, but she did it anyway. "I apologize for my actions earlier. It was uncalled for. Please forgive me, my Lord." She lowed her head not wanting to look at him, but felt more ashamed and embarrassed. He sighed with an annoying tone to it. "Don't worry about it." He leaned into the palm of his hand, looking up into the sky, and humming a melody his mom used to sing to him.
"What's that melody your humming?" She asked tilting her head to the side, listening carefully to his humming and closing her eyes. The sound of his humming was so calming and peaceful to her and her heart. The warmth came back. "My mother used to sing and a times hum this melody when I was younger before she passed on." Aurora never thought Sukuna would open up so easily. it's not like him nor his character. "How did she die?" Those words were the breaking point to Sukuna not wanting to open up anymore. "I prefer not talking about it. End of discussion." She never asked another question for a while since this was a touchy subject for him. She yawned, rubbing her eyes, and feeling sleepy again. "Get some rest, little one." Sukuna suggested her to sleep and she answered with a nod. Aurora once again fell asleep next to him, but suddenly her head was on his shoulder.
He groaned from the feeling of her head on his shoulder. He hates being touch by a human or anyone in that matter. Sukuna decided to pick her up bridal style, holding her in his arms and just let her sleep. 'This is a bad idea... I'm going to regret this later.' He thought to himself as he drifts asleep.
*NEXT MORNING 8 am*
Sukuna gave a big yawn, but he totally forgot that Aurora was in his arms. He looks down watching the little girl curled up against his bare chest still asleep. He gave a sigh again before carrying her to the carriage. "Prepare to leave immediately, Uruame. I want to be back home by nightfall." He. ordered her. "Yes, Lord Sukuna." She bowed before cleaning up the camp, retrieving the supplies they need, feed the horses and off they go. Another days journey to Sukuna's Shrine, at least 11 hours left. Uruame kept an eye on the muddy roads ahead of her. It was clearly going to be a rough ride home due to getting either stuck in the mud or the wheels get to muddy.
Sukuna watched over Aurora as she slept and he was hoping she would wake up soon cause having her in his arms is not what he signed up for. "Aurora... wake up, brat!" He shook his head, face palming himself before trying to wake her up. She mumbled in her sleep not wanting to wake up just yet. She nudged his arm 'no', but Sukuna wouldn't stand being disobeyed by some princess brat. "Don't make me say it, brat!" She woke up immediately, looking up at Sukuna, and felt the warmth again in her heart. Aurora slowly moved her hand from her side to his face. She gently caress his soft face with her thumb, but he grabbed her had away. "Don't ever touch me without my permission. Is that clear?"
"Yes, my lord." She replied taking her hand away from him. Aurora slowly got up from his lap, looking around noticing they are in the carriage again heading towards his home. She sat a few feet away from Sukuna to give him some space. 'Is this how our it's going to be when we live together?' She thought to herself. She doesn't want this to continue, so she decided to make a change. Aurora looked at Sukuna, the King of Curses with gentle eyes, she parted her mouth to speak, but nothing came out. Several hours has passed since they left the camp site. They have 2 hours left of their travels. We can't wait to be home soon. Our butts are getting numb from sitting on the floor for too long.
"We have 2 hours left, then we are at Lord Sukuna's shrine." Uruame stated. Sukuna nodded and poked Aurora on the shoulder to give her the heads up. He was starting to get impatient upon his arrival back to his shrine. He has much to do before his 'wedding' to the princess of the brats. He doesn't want to think about getting married yet. Sukuna has other important business with the curse users and servants within his shrine about 'her'. "God, I hope it goes wrong or someone dies." He laughs to himself at the comment he made. Aurora looked at him with confusing, but ignores him.
Uruame parks the carriage by the water fountain in front of the shrine. The statue on the fountain is of Sukuna lifting his hands up as the water pours out of him. Aurora looked at the statue, looking at its beauty, and she had to jump out of the carriage. "Lord Sukuna, is that you on the fountain?" She asked. "Yes, that's me." He replied standing next to her. She looked up at him noticing a sadistic smirk appear on his face. She knew something is up, but what? "Sukuna?"
"WE ARE HOME!"
