Lo'ak and I do lay in the open ocean as Payakan approaches us. We climb up on his fin after greeting him.
"We know how you feel," Lo'ak tells him.
"We feel alone too," I agree. "We are outcasts."
"So tell us," Lo'ak says. "Why are you outcast?" He goes underwater and leaves us their. Payakan circles around and we swim underwater to meet him, floating right in front of him. He opens his mouth and Lo'ak and I hesitate for a moment before swimming inside. But then he closed his mouth and we jump back. As we look around, we notice his tulkun markings begins to light up around us. And that's when we notice it.
He wants us to bond with him. So that we will feel what he feels and know why he's outcast. We swim over to his version of a braid as it rolls out. I tilt my head motioning for Lo'ak to go first and he does. When he connects his braid it only lasts for a split second before he pulls away, looking distraught. He motions for me to go ahead. I connect my braid and I see it.
Sky People ships. They killed his mother. She looks in so much pain and I feel guilt not being able to do anything about it. The the scene change and I see Payakan leading other tulkun and Na'vi's into battle against the Sky People. They start shooting at Payakan's brothers and sisters and the numbers start ti deteriorate until it's just him left. I open my eyes and disconnect my braid before looking over at Lo'ak with sorrow. He grabs my hand and we swim out of the Tulkun and up towards the surface.
When we get on Payakan's fin again we both place a hand on his in a comforting manner.
"I'm sorry," Lo'ak says to him.
"I'm so sorry Payakan," I sympathize. We both hug Payakan to the best of our ability until we hear splashes and we see our group emerge from the water. Our eyes widen and we know we will be in so much trouble. They lead us to the village and we have to tell Tonowari what happened. Him, and Ronal lead us to their mauri.
"You allowed this!" Ronal hissed. "You allowed them to bond with the outcast!"
"Tsireya," Tonowari says. I look over to her and it looks like she is about to cry. She doesn't get in trouble often. "You disappoint me, daughter. And you two." he points to Lo'ak and I as Neytiri and Jake arrive. "Son of a great warrior and my son's destined mate who have been taught better."
I look over at Aonung and he gives me a look that says, 'I'm going to tell him'. I nod before diverting my attention to Tonowari again.
"Payakan saved my life, sir," Lo'ak tells him.
"You don't know him," I add.
"No, Lo'ak, Leyreya," Tsireya warns us. Tonowari gives us a hard glare.
"Sit, sit," he demands and we both crouch down with him. "Sit down!" Everyone in the mauri sits including Jake and Neytiri. "Hear my words. I'm the days of the First Songs, tulkun fought amongst themselves, for territory, and for revenge. But they came to believe that killing, no matter how justified, only brings more killing. So all killing was forbidden."
"This is the tulkun way," he tells us. "Payakan... is a killer, so, he is outcast."
"I'm sorry, sir. But you're wrong," I argue.
"Leyreya," Neytiri warns and I turn to face her. "You speak to Olo'eyktan!"
"We know what we-" Lo'ak starts before getting cut off.
    "That's enough!" Jake interrupts.
"We know what we know," Lo'ak says quickly and I nod with him. Ronal snarls at us and Jake comes up between us.
"That's enough," he repeats himself. "I'll deal with these two." Jake grabs us both by our arms leading us away.

"Let's just hope the storm will pass," I tell Lo'ak as we walk along the beach. He ignores me and I continue. "Lo'ak you are extraordinary." He stops to face me. "You are a forest boy who was chosen by a tulkun. I am very proud of you."
"But Payakan didn't kill those boys," he whispers.
"I know, I know," I reassure him. "We could try to tell Tonowari."
"No, no," he says. "We're in enough trouble with my dad already."
"Maybe he will understand," I try to reason with him.
"He won't," Lo'ak tells me. "He doesn't understand anything. The whole clan hates me. Demon blood. Alien. That's all they see." He holds up his hand to show his five fingers.
I line my hand up perfectly with his, letting my five fingers rest against his own.
"Then we will be outcasts together," I say.
"Outcast together?" he gives me a small smile. I nod before I continue.
"I see you," I intertwine our lined up hands pulling them to my heart. "I love you."
"I love you too," he tells me before grabbing my waist and pulling me into him. I wrap my arms around his neck as he kisses me. I kiss him back and the kiss begins to become heated.
"What is the meaning of this!" I hear an angry voice and we look over to see Tonowari with a fuming face. "You come with me now." I points to me and Lo'ak let's go of me, letting me follow the Olo'eyktan. He leads me to his mauri where Ronal, Aonung, and Tsireya all were. "Tell him." He points to Aonung. Aonung looks at me with a confused look on his face.
"He saw me... kissing Lo'ak," I tell him and Ronal gasps.
"How dare you disrespect my son!" Ronal hisses at me. She gets up in my face and I look down towards the ground.
"It was all a hoax!" Aonung shouts out causing the attention to turn to him.
    "What?" Tonowari asked.
"It was all fake," Aonung continues. "We were never really in a relationship."
"Why would you do this, my son?" Ronal asks him as she walks over to him and places a hand on his shoulder.
"Dad was all on my back about finding a mate and I didn't really have an desire to date a girl so I asked Leyreya to help me out," he explains. "And she said she would because she is my friend and cares for my well-being."
"Is this true?" Tonowari asks me and I nod. "Very well. You are dismissed." He waived me off and I walk out of the mauri and I hear Tonowari continue. "But you know we would have understood if you weren't ready to mate with your desired woman yet."
"But it's not just that," I hear Aonung say before I'm too far away to hear anything else.
