Enid was fussing in front of the mirror absorbed in trying to get the blonde, curly, locks to fall just right. This process had taken just about if not more time than deciding which outfit to wear and just how to style it. What all this meant was that now she was sure she needed a new outfit entirely, the only problem was that it was almost time for her date. This left her with only one option; throw herself onto Willas tender mercies and hope for the best. Though according to how encased the other girl seemed to be in her writing hopes for compliments and mercy were down quite a bit. Deciding to just get on with it and hope for the best with all the hope left in her heart she nervously took a few steps forward to stand right behind the other girls seat and whispered in a whisper almost to small for anyone human to hear "Willa?"
"Yes, mia cara?" Of course she'd heard. This was Willa after all. However, just because she had been answered did not mean that she could further interrupt the raven haired girls writing process until she was good and ready. This meant that she would have to wait for her to at the very least finish this page, luck was on her side or not, depending on your point of view, seeing as Willa was on the last sentence of the last page of this chapter (one could always tell how many pages were in a chapter because Willa was very meticulous with how much went into one single chapter).
As soon as the paper was carefully taken from its holder and reverently put onto a stack of other papers Enid took her chance, twiddling with the hem of her dress, the other hand pulling on a perfect, blonde, curl, and asked nervously "Do I look good enough for my date?"
Getting up with an elegance Enid knew she would never fully aquire, Willa stood up taking a long step backwards, her eyes fully drinking in the beautiful girl. Finally, after a few moments of thourough inspection had passed, she spoke as solemnly as she appeared "You appear as stunning as the moon in the sky"
Fingers stopped fiddling with the hem of her dress and the hand that had previously been pulling on a curl dropped as a slow, wide, joyous grin took over Enids features, Willas words sinking in.
Practically skipping over to where Willa had reseated herself Enid leaned over the chair throwing her hands around Wednesday in a hug of proportions and strength she hadn't even known she had. This impromptu hug held revelations, one of them being that the other girl was warm, and soft, so freaking soft. It was heaven on earth and these were things you could never tell from a simple look. As Enid rested her cheek on Willas shoulder she reached over to plant a quick peck on the smooth, pale, collarbone murmuring "Willa you're an absolute darling, thank you"
Realizing what she had just done to the other girl without asking if it was ok the blonde jumped back as if she'd been burned asking for forgiveness, apologies spilling from her mouth, heart in her throat and mind racing at the thought of crossing one of the other girls strict boundaries.
An abrupt knocking on their dorm room door jerked Enid from her panic and sent her reeling for the door. Opening the door with red cheeks and slightly out of breath she was greeted with the sight of a disgruntled Ajax who said "You coming?"
Jerking her head in agreement she stepped out the door and away from her horrid mistake. Hesitating slightly she turned, looked at Willa and waved goodbye, eyes full of apology.
Wednesday still seated in their shared room sat with her arms pulled around herself not noticing or simply not caring that her cheeks were as red as the blood surging through her veins. It was terrible, in a wonderful sort of way.
"Hello Ajax!" Enid beamed prettily hoping he wouldn't notice how fast her breath was coming. How her heart ached for leaving Willa alone without fixing her mistake. What was he wearing? Why hadnt he told her that she didnt need to dress up? That was the courtesy, no? Great, now she looked like a pretentious twit. But still, who comes to a first date in way to big sweatpants and a tank top. Pushing aside the feeling she leaned up on tip toes and gave him a peck on the cheek.
