It's 2 in the morning and I can't sleep. All sorts of thoughts are running in my mind. No matter how cool and calm I acted in front of everyone out there but my heart is full, so full. How my life has changed is the only thing running in my mind. This change can either make my life so much better and happier or it can break me all over again as it did 2 years back.
Only me, Ro and Sid know how much I have struggled to again get back to my cherry, bubbly and loving self. And these two were always there but now I have to leave them. Just thinking about it makes me scared. Although I know they are just a call away but still not seeing their faces everyday makes me scared.
My chain of thoughts broke when I heard the door of my room opening. I turned to see Ro and Sid standing there with Hot chocolate and snacks in their hands.
"We knew you would be overthinking instead of sleeping so we brought your favorite" Ro said while jumping on my bed.
I just looked at them and shifted my head on Sid's lap.
"It's hard to believe you are leaving tomorrow. Feels like just yesterday we were preparing for your first match." Sid said and I can sense sadness in his voice while caressing my hair.
"Yeah," I sighed, my gaze momentarily fixed on the hot chocolate. "Time flew by so fast. I can't believe I have a family now and I'm leaving tomorrow."
"They are good you know; I can see the love and happiness in their eyes" Ro said softly.
"Yep," I replied, a wistful smile playing on my lips. "But it's scary too, leaving everything behind. Especially leaving you two."
"You won't be alone, Ashi," Ro reassured me, his voice gentle. "We've always found ways to stay connected, no matter the distance. You can call us in middle of the night, and We'll take the next flight and be there for you."
"I know," I nodded, blinking back tears. "But it won't be the same. You guys are the one I run to when things go wrong, the one who understands me without words."
"Then come to us na all you have to do is travel an hour long and you'll be here with us" Sid said calmly.
"And they have private jet too so no problem with flight schedule" Ro said to which I just nodded.
"But you have to give them a chance, share your problems with them, tell how you feel to them. Give your one hundred percent Ashi because they are your family." Sid explained.
And that's the thing about me, I never share my problems with anyone. Whenever I am in any kind of trouble, I try to solve them by myself without telling anyone about it. And when situation gets totally out of my hand then only, I tell Ro and Sid. Because of this nature Ro and Sid have scolded me a lot of time but I don't tell my problems because I always think I am burdening someone with my problems.
