➽───────────────❥A rainy night is the perfect time for mysteries to happen. As the rain-soaked streets and dreary climate provide a perfect background for criminals to operate in shadows.
Dark clouds covered the sky and moon was barely visible through the thick shadows. The air was heavy with moisture as a sudden dribble of rain flooded the street, leaving behind a dark and mysterious aura.
The girl left a sigh as she saw from the window that it was raining, she let go from the soft-fabric curtain and put her chin on the back of her hand while fidgeting with her thumb feeling uneasy.
Her soft brown hair swept gracefully across her shoulders in soft waves, the light catching the highlights within. The chestnut color of her hair brought warmth and comfort to her face, bringing out her round almond eyes along with her warm porcelain-like skin.
Her eyes seemed to gleam through the night with an irresistible emerald hue combined with a sapphire hue that matched her long black lashes and her pink-heartshaped lips.
Although in her eyes there is a bit of a worry about something that made her so anxious and lost in her thoughts.
"Melita?" A hand placed on her right shoulder brings her back to reality as she gasps a little in a tense way but her anxiety washes away when she realizes it's her little sister.
Her lips parted as she left a small chuckle, a relief chuckle. "You are old enough to call me Melisa now, you know that right Hana?"
"Eh, Melisa sounds illegal for me to call you." Hana says with a genuine laugh as she sat beside Melisa. "I'm used to Melita."
Hana had beautiful dark brown wavy hair that complimented her doe brown eyes.
"But if you continue calling me that, people will end up thinking my name is Melita. And I like my name the way it is, moony." A grin appears on her face as she touches Hana's cheek.
Hana shrugs a little in a whatever way and than a smell of a newly-made kebab enters the living room making Hana stand up. "Mm yum."
Melisa's mother places the food on the table in the living room. All sort of goods were on the table. Kebab, borek, orange juice and Melisa's favorite; garlic cheese bread. She absolutely loves this recipe especially if it's accompanied with her usual drink; strawberry smoothie.
Apart from her obsession with homemade lemonade she also loves her usual strawberry smoothie possibly for the fact that she loves strawberries. There is nothing wrong with a smoothie along with garlic cheese bread. At least for her. Although she is used to having weird taste in food but as long as it doesn't hurt anyone.
"This looks delicious." She says as she smells the goods on the table. The smell filled around the whole house. "Thank you mami." Melisa sat on the table beside her younger sister.
The table had six chairs, it was made out of wood yet it looked very vintage and well-kept. Her father sat on the main chair, their mother at the other main chair making them across each other. Melisa and Hana sat next to each other while her older sister Rita sat beside their brother Erand. Making them be across one another.
