Becca's pov
~

Ever since the incident with Josh I've been having serious trust issues. I feel like as I walk through these hallways, everyone I see just wants to use me. I only trust 5 people and it'll stay that way for a long time. Maybe forever if I never overcome this issue.

As I walked to my locker I saw a variety of people out of the corner of my eye pointing at me then turning to whisper.

All of the old memories of my cutting and bullying flooded back into my head and I wanted to break down right then and there, but I held it together.

At least now I know why everyone is making fun of me. It's not even my fault. I know for a fact Michael will never do that again he's changed.

The girl that was with Josh at the coffee shop, who I had learned her name was Jessica, stopped me in the hallway for the second time.

"Where do you think you're going?" she asked pushing me back a little.

"Well I was going to 4th period until this skank stopped me," I said coming off a little more confident than I had expected.

She got really close to my face which made me uncomfortable, "listen here, you're gonna wish you hadn't of just said that, because now I'm going to ruin your year here so bad that your not even going to want to come to school," she finished by pushing me back again and then walking away.

I was kinda upset that I didn't have next period with Michael. I wanted to tell him about what's happening.

As J walked by the office to my next class I saw Michael sitting in one of the chairs with a black eye.

I ran through the doors, not even caring if I was allowed to be in there, and over to him.

"Michael... what happened?!" I whisper yelled.

"Bec, you can't be in here right now," he said looking down.

"Michael, I'm not leaving till you tell me what happened," I said sternly.

"It's not important," he shook his head.

"It must be important if you have a black eye. Hurry up and tell me before I get caught."

"Well I got in a fight because these guys were--" Michael was cut off my the bell ringing and the office lady telling me to get to class.

"You're telling me at lunch," said pointing to him and walking away.

I was overwhelmed by all the questions entering my mind. What could he have done? What did those guys do or say?

This was too much for me.

As I walked into the class I received a glare from the teacher.

"So, why are you late?" the teacher asked me while crossing her arms.

"Locker trouble," I lied.

"Well... here, just take a seat, I won't count you tardy."

I sat down as far away from Josh as I could. He didn't even glance at me. I would know because I glanced at him to see if he was glancing at me. I also kept looking at him out of the corner of my eye.

I sat there pretending to listen but I was really just watching the clock.

I was in Physics and well, no one listens in Physics.

"Becca, since you seemed to be so focused, why don't you answer the question," I froze in shock.

"Uhm... what was the question again?" everyone laughed.

"See class, this is a fine example of why you should listen," just then the bell rang. Thank god, now I can go to lunch and talk with Michael.

As I was walking to my locker Calum stopped me.

"Hey," I said with a smile.

"Hey..." he said almost like he was unsure.

"What's wrong?" I asked him my smile fading away.

He opened his mouth to speak but then Jessica walked up next to him.

"Hey babe... ew why are you talking to her?" my mouth dropped.

"Jessica, be nice," Calum shushed her.

"Is this what you wanted to tell me?" I asked Calum kinda hurt.

"Yeah..." he said trailing off.

"Bye loser," Jessica scoffed at me before strutting away. I let it go and continued walking to lunch.

I wasn't surprised that she wanted to date Calum. I mean he was kinda the perfect dude. He was a football jock, he got good grades, and well he wasn't ugly. I feel like Jessica's just using him though.

Hey thoughts were interrupted by Ali tapping me on the shoulder.

"Hey, are you okay?" she asked concerned.

"Never better," I lied forcing a fake smile.

As I walked to the lunch table I saw that Jessica was sitting by Calum. So I decided to sit on the other end away from her. Ali did the same.

Luke and Michael moved to the end with us.

"Hey can you guys go over there for a second I need to talk to Michael, alone," I said to Ali and Luke.

"Well anyways, what the hell happened?" I asked Michael for the third time today.

"Okay, so I was just sitting in class and I heard someone behind me say, 'hey you know that the new girls dad is an alcoholic who's in jail for punching her in the face? I bet she already gets that shit enough from Michael' so I couldn't control my anger and I just turned around and punched him. In the face, and he "tried" to fight back."

"Michael, you can't just do that."

"Well I did. Too late."

"Well don't do it again," I said making him look me in the eyes.

I motioned for Ali and Luke to come back down by us.

"So what do you think about Jessica?" Luke asked us.

"Hate her with all my heart," I said quickly.

"Wait. isn't she the slut that is always giving you trouble?" Michael asked.

"Yep," I said bluntly.

"Well we need a way to get rid of her, because Calum obviously doesn't want too."

(a/n- this chapter..I don't even know, it's kinda a small plot twist with Jessica and Calum, but it's whatever.)
