Chapter 1: Safe to fuckin say, I died.

I died, right then and there. It wasn't even a noble death goddammit. Let's have a recap shall we, my name is... I mean was Soo-yun Hasegawa, a half Japanese and half Korean and of course due to that I could never seem to fit in society no matter how hard I tried. So, I drowned my sorrows in novels, anime, manhwa's and otome games.

Well, that didn't end well at all didn't it. Cause now I (somehow) ended up in another person's body. All I could remember was getting hit by the ever so famous "Truck-kun" till my body became numb and I woke up here. How cliché, all those fairytales I laughed on while reading for ages finally caught up to me and I DIED (ps. what made it even more funny is that it was raining when I died. Unbelievable).

The novel that I tragically ended up in was called "The rose within the empire" very cheesy I know, the empire here was called Luzruirene Empire, the male lead was Raphaele Luzruirene, and the female lead was named Maria (who snaked- I mean charmed her way in nobility).

I looked at myself in the mirror and stared at the girl- I mean my reflection till it hits me. Of course, I had to be in the villainess' body. What great luck! I groaned and looked at my face again to attempt to estimate my age. What was even worse is that she ALSO dies. What a great waste of beauty author, the woman in front of me had ruby red eyes and silver hair... DAMN SHE'S PRETTY. Tsk tsk, truly a waste of beauty.

She's very pretty... if only the male lead didn't kill her. This woman in the mirror was Atheleia Valentine Chanavillier, a strong woman known as an academic genius and had a hobby with... how do I say this... poison. Because of this hobby of hers it was easy for the male lead (Prince) to accuse her of murder. A useless handsome piece of crap I tell you. Now I start to question why in the first place I rooted for him. "OMGGG finally the female lead can rest!!" – my last exact words about the male lead before my death.

"M-my Lady, I'm here" a female's voice came from the door. SHIT-! How does this character act like again-, I sighed and crossed my legs in attempt to look scary

"Come in" I spoke. Shitshitshit did I do it right??? Well, I guess my question was answered when the maid came in. Her face filled with fear, oops, sorry my dear maid

The maid hurriedly fixed me up including my hair and my dress (it's so freaking heavy by the way). Thankfully I could remember what Atheleia was supposed to do today, I sighed in relief. After all that piece of trash- I mean the male lead (who is the same age as me) is currently my fiancée and HATES me with all his heart (as if he has any. Cheating bastard), and if I remember right, I'm currently 18 years old. However, the plot was set that so that the male lead was 24 and the female lead is 22. Meaning, I have 6 years in total before I die. That is her fate. But I am different.

Let's see with all the knowledge I have gained throughout my shut-in life. Number 1. Do not change your attitude so quickly of else they will notice something is definitely wrong, that I can easily do, right? All I have to do is act tough in front of the trash. Number 2. Do not annul the engagement. Geez this is why most female leads that I read has the male lead falling for them because of this. All I have to do is wait until the male lead wishes to annul our engagement and throw a fake tantrum and leave them alone. Easy enough, right?

This was also one of the reasons Atheleia Valentine died because she clung on their engagement so hard. Sigh, she really didn't even do anything wrong yet she died. Such a pity, truly. Number 3. Act the same in front of the male lead. If I remember clearly (which took so long since they only gave Valentine a little screen time) she loved the male lead in her own way.

A queen of high society, that's the type of person Valentine was. How am I even going to pull this off, I barely talk to people in my last life. She too is the daughter of Duke Chanavillier, the second highest rank from the king. WHY CAN'T THE MALE LEAD SETTLE FOR HER?? SHES RICH, INTELLIGENT AND INFLUENTIAL?? But NOOO he just had to fall for a commoner girl named Maria (what a name author!).

Anyways, I'm new to this world so I might as well try to get accustomed to the language. The library would be the best idea but... would I get suspected if I suddenly go to the library? Probably not, after all Valentine was the top student in the academy. Hold up didn't she have a sibling? A brother.... Oh right! His name was Alexander Vincent Chanavillier. Please God let us have a good sibling bond!!

I walked out of my room and finally managed to find the library. The place was a literal maze and thanks to my luck I didn't bump into anyone this time. YAY!

I took a book out of the shelve and thankfully was able to read it...I wonder if there are novels in this world... I wandered around the library and bumped into a guy. WHAT? THIS EARLY. I looked at the dude annoyed till I noticed he was so FUCKING HOT. Do men like them even exist in this world??

The guy looked at me confused and spoke, "Vallie? Why are you here?". I stared at him for a moment and realized to my stupidity that this is Vincent, her brother and was also the SECOND male lead. Who also dies trying to defend his sister despite loving the female lead... poor guy. "Is there something wrong with me coming here?" I finally replied,'Lord please tell me I pulled that off' I thought

"Ah... never mind" Vincent replied and went back to reading. Now that I see it he's such an innocent little cutie (that is if you don't include everyone he's killed in the battle field)
