Nova Holloway is Carol's daughter and Cookie's niece. She's eightteen years old and married. Nova had her first child at the age of sixteen and married a few months later to her partner, Devon Shine. Her daughter name is Adeya. Nova secretly wants to become a singer, since she has notebooks filled with lyrics.
Since Carol couldn't raise Nova the proper way, her sister, Candace, stepped up and raised Nova for her. Despite Cookie being locked up for most of Nova's life, Candace would occasionally let Nova visit Cookie in jail until she thought she was to good for jails. When Nova got older, she would visit Cookie after school and on weekends. That caused the two to grow a close bond. In fact when Nova got pregnant, Cookie was the first to know.
But now that Cookie is out of prison, Nova is hiding something. It's not that she doesnt love her auntie and want to tell her, it's the fact that she's scared what Cookie will do when she hears about it. The secret that she's hiding is that her young, almost twenty year old husband is hitting her. Not their child, just her.
Idk why I'm writing this. I started binge watching the show again and this idea formed.
