I felt exhausted as I lay there in the bed panting. If we kept going like this, I'd never get out of my house. I eased myself out of the bed and made my way to the bathroom to clean myself up. I brushed my long locks again and washed myself down in the sink. I stepped out the bathroom and looked around for all my dishevelled clothes lying around along the hardwood flooring. I'm gonna kill Aaron when I see him.
After getting dressed, I headed back downstairs to make a fresh coffee before I went out. Glancing at the white marble clock on the wall, I realised it was 3 pm. on the dot. I didn't have long to get there before the shops closed. I glanced around looking for Aaron, but he was nowhere to be seen. He must have left already.
I stepped out of my house, locking the door before walking towards the high street. The day was bright, with not a cloud in the sky. It was a perfect day. The busy hustle and bustle of the streets was refreshing. I rarely had the chance to be out and not be at work on the night. I reached my first destination, which was my favourite. Ann Summers is the best shop in the world. I walked inside the doors and immediately started looking at all the clothes. As I skimmed the shop, something caught my eye.
It was a blood-red lace dress outfit that would curve around my body perfectly. I had my mind set on the dress. I just needed a pair of blood-red suspenders to go with it. I quickly found them and went to the till to pay, worth every penny I thought to myself as I swiped my card. I walked out of the shop with my bag in hand feeling content. I started down the street towards the next shop when a voice in the distance made me stop completely still. "Yeah, I've been searching for her for years. She ran away from home, and I saw a post that led me to believe she was here. " "You mean may? She works at a bar around here, there nearly every night." "Thanks, mate, I'll go check."
I turned behind me and ran. How did they find me? I've been so careful, I had changed my hair colour, my name, and got far away. He can't have found me. There's no other option now, I need to run. To get further. I ran as fast as my legs could carry me towards my house. The sweat dripped from my head, and my heart was beating out of my chest. The pounding in my head was intensifying as if something was breaking through my skull. I finally made it to my house and locked my door behind me. The last thing I saw was Aaron sat on my couch looking at me. Then it all went black.
