Chapter 2
Oliver's family came over to Sophie's house for dinner on Sunday night. They did this every week because Sophie and Oliver's dads were brothers. But this dinner unfortunately was not as good as the others for Sophie. When Oliver entered he entered hand in hand with Isla. As soon as Sophie saw Isla she gave her a mean glare. Isla glared back.
Sophie pulled Isla into the front living room where no one else was. "What are you doing here?" "Oliver invited me! So I can meet some more of his family, you know, I'm the perfect girlfriend and all."
"Isla, you can be loved more then me at school and praised but this is my home. My family. Give me a break." Sophie asked holding on Isla's wrist. Isla pulled her arm away swiftly. "Give you a break? Pfft, as if!" And Isla stormed of like she owned the place and again joined hands with Oliver.
"Who is this beautiful girl Oliver?" Sophie's mum asked. "This beautiful girl is my girlfriend Isla! I hope I havn't caused too much trouble bringing her!" Isla smiled at Oliver and Sophie. "Oh no, the more the merrier!" Sophie's mum grabbed Isla's hand and dragged her to the seat Sophie normally sat in. And served her dinner. Following, every body else sat down and got served dinner. "Mmm this looks great! I can't wait to dig in!" She was definitely trying to be the favorite. "Oh go right ahead darling." Oliver's dad told her.
When every body finished Isla offered to help Sophie clean up the dishes. They started drying and washing in dead silence, until Isla started talking. "It was easier then I thought." Sophie was so mad she looked around the kitchen and saw the left over cake. She picked it up with her very hands and smashed it down into Isla's perfectly shaped hair and massaged it in.
Isla's jaw dropped. she turned around with her shoulders up and then grabbed some left over pasta sauce and chucked it at Sophie's face. It quickly turned into a food fight. Oliver walked in and yelled out, "What has happened in here?"
Two days later.
When Oliver walked into school Isla led behind him trying to pull him back. "It was an accident Olly! My hand, um... slipped!" She said trying to tell Oliver. Even though it wasn't the truth. Oliver turned around and stared at Isla. "That's enough. You can stop now. You have already embarrassed me enough." She looked at him generally sad with puppy eyes. "But..." "No. i brought you to dinner because I was proud you were my girlfriend, I brought you to almost show off because you WERE so perfect. But I don't know what to believe now." "Olly..." "No Olly, This is it. Our relationship is over." He walked offer angrily.
Isla looked at him trying to hold in the tears. "A few days ago you told me you loved me. Did that mean any thing?" One salty tear dripped down her face. He kept walking even though he heard. "FINE! I don't need you any way! I was just using you and it obviously worked. So have a great life with out me." Isla Stormed off into Kiara's arms and hugged her really tightly.
Four days later.
Everybody was in home room. Oliver, Sophie, Jake, Nick, Kiara and Isla when there was a knock on the door. The teacher stopped doing the role and answered the door. A lush boy walked through the door looking around. He had brown short hair, brown shiny eyes and perfectly muscular.
Girls turned their heads when he walked past and almost drooled. "Ahhhhhh" They all chanted at once. "This is Howard Graham, he will be in homeroom with you." Mr. Green introduced him. "You can go sit over there next to Isla." He pointed to the seat on the left to her. He strutted over, put his bag next to himself and smiled at Isla. She blushed.
When period one finished Isla raced over to Howard and immediately linked arms with him. "So where are you from new boy?" She tried to flirt. "Um, Sydney. Kinda near Bondi." Oliver walked past interested in the conversation and kept on looking at them. Isla saw. "Ooo yeah it's meant to be really pretty there right, Howey?" She noticed Oliver glancing over again. "I can cell you that right? Howey!" "Um, yeah ok."
Josie Callahan walked past Oliver smiling at him. He remembered she just broke up with her boyfriend, Kyle. "Hey, Josie!" Oliver waved at Josie and she walked over to him. "I heard you broke up with Isla." "Yeah..um" Isla was looking at him, perfect timing. "You just broke up with Kyle right?" "Yeah...." Before Josie could finish talking Oliver grabbed her tight and starting pashing her. She kissed him back and they went on for at least 30 seconds.
Isla's mouth dropped and she left stamping her feet as hard as possible. Oliver saw and smiled at Josie. "Bye and thanks." "Bye!" Josie clutched onto her laptop and books sighing. This kiss was not it for her.
After School
Oliver was just normally walking out of school when Josie popped up. "That kiss. You are pretty good at kissing." She complemented him passionately. Isla was walking out of school with Kiara. She didn't take her eyes off Oliver. "Uh yeah" He had to make her jealous, it was his only choice. Well that's what he thought. "You were amazing. Actually I would love to learn more about you. How about dinner tonight at Clava?" Isla looked annoyed while Kiara asked her what was wrong.
"Yes! That would be great!" Oliver smiled at Josie held her hand and walked out of school grinning at Isla.
Jake's house after school.
"Howard pass the ball" Jake and Howard were playing basketball. He decided to invite Howard over to get to know. Jake bounced the ball and then jumped for a slam dunk, goal! "How long have you been playing? You're really good." Howard asked curiously. "I think about 11 years. I don't know my dad makes me. He used to be the coach for Queensland." "Cool. I think I'm more of a footy player" Howard didn't tell any body but he moved to Queensland because he got offered a spot in Brisbane Lions. "Why did you move here?" Oliver asked in oar. "Um. Too much drama in my old school. We didn't really like the area we lived in either." He lied. "You know, girls can be really annoying." "Tell me about Howard."
Kiara's house.
"Quickly Nick! Sneak through the back door Kiara will be here any minute!" Kiara's sister, Lucy, told Nick. "I think I'm already back." Kiara said behind Lucy and Nick. They turned around. "Kiara..." Nick got interrupted by her. "You get out." She replied. Nick ran through the back door. "And you, I don't even know what to say." "Kiara it's ok." "How could you even say that." Kiara ran out the front door, got in her car again and drove away.
Lucy got on her knees, held her eyes with her hands and cried.
