A.L.E.N - Between Shadows (Chapter 2)

Act 38

Julie screamed so loudly with pain and suffering, "Please, stop!" with tears falling, and at that time Robert heard her voice.

And suddenly the back door opened in a rush as Adam, Aiden, and Sam entered so quickly that Adam shouted loudly, "Oh no...!"

Alen was shot in the arm, the knife fell down, putting him on his knees, and Edward punched and hit Alen's face, trying to put him down, but that didn't stop him from giving up easily. As he stopped Edward from blocking Edward's fist with his hand, standing up, he picked up his knife, and with a quick move, Alen made a little cut on Edward's face.

Cathleen, in panic, looked at her father, hurt, and immediately asked him, "Dad, are you alright?" As she wanted to go to him, Edward stopped her.

Edward backs up, placing his hand on the cut, in shock seeing the blood on his fingers, but also with all of frustration, he yells, "You are going to pay for this, Alexander Walf!"

In that instant, Robert, with his gun pointing at Alen, said, "Alexander Walf, you are under arrest for all the crimes that you committed."

And Julie was just crying, but with all her strength, she looked around, noticed that the rope wasn't tied, and almost freed her hands.

Then Julie notices the phone on the floor that had a message written by Alen that reads, "Col da num.ber," and looks at the phone number that says "Kate," and she picks up the phone and calls the number.

The phone started to ring; at first, nothing happened as the person supposed to be Kate didn't answer the call, but then a few seconds later, Julie tried again, and all of a sudden someone hung up, and a little sweet, innocent voice from a tiny girl asked, "Hello? Who's this...?"

Everyone was surprised, almost speechless. Julie looked at the phone, surprised, and immediately asked the little girl, "Ah, hello."Is this your mother Kate's home?" trying to undo the conversation and put it on hold.

The cute, sweet little girl said, "Yes, she is! Mommy? A very nice lady wants to talk to you."

And then a female voice came through and asked, "Hello? Hello, this is Kate Jonah; who am I speaking...?"

And Julie said, "Hello, Miss Kate, my name is Julie Rogers."

Kate, with excitement and happiness to hear from Julie, said, "Julie?! Wow, how are you? It's incredible how time flies... Ah, how is your father doing with his illness and all of those problems that he has? He still does his treatment, right? Did he finally get the courage to tell?"

Julie was confused. "What do you mean...? Can you explain it?"

And Kate, with a smile and joy, said, "I'm talking about Alexander, of course. He saved me from the terrible accident that happened, and I discovered that he has a little girl, but he didn't have the conditions to take care of you because of his disease. He asked me to give you a good home, and since then I have lost contact with him, and I have moved on."

Julie just started crying so much that Robert was overcome just seeing Julie as a daughter. Even though she was adopted, the bond was so strong that tears fell from his face.

Kate is trying to calm Julie down. "Julie, your father is a good man; he never would hurt you or anyone about it, just his schizophrenia. Change him a lot, but he never did stop loving you, Julie, and he wants to see you safe and healthy." and Julie was quiet.
