LOUD HORNS blared as they sped past the little sandwich shop on the corner, the blazing LA heat causing some to walk around with a hand held fan.

A hungover Mikaela Toretto stood at the counter knife in hand as she sliced through a tomato, sweat glistened off her bronze skin, her long hair pulled back into a half up half down situation keeping it away from the food that she hoped customers would come in and purchase.

A small groan parted her lips as she dropped the knife and reached out scooping up her mug full of cold coffee, quick breaths parted her lips as she chugged it down.

"Hungover?" Mia giggled a little as she joined her out the front, leaning over the counter as she flipped open a magazine.

"I feel like I'm dehydrating." Mikaela responded, breathing heavily.

Her younger sister laughed at her expense, the atmosphere starting to feel a little lighter than before.

The sound of a familiar truck pulling into the parking lot has Mikaela's head turning, a knowing smirk playing at her lips as she lowered the mug and adjusted the thin shirt resting on her shoulders.

"Don't be so obvious." Mia laughs, her shoulders shaking a little.

"Obvious? He's a man, they never pick up on these things!" She preaches, brushing her hair over her shoulder for the millionth time today so it didn't get in the way.

"Tuna on white, no crust, right?" Mikaela had memorized this fools order by the fourth day he had come in asking for it.

"I don't know, how is it?"

"Everyday, for the last three weeks, you've come here asking how the tuna is. Now, it was crappy yesterday. It was crappy the day before. And guess what? It hasn't changed." Mikaela gave him a small grin as Mia passed her the white bread.

"I'll have the tuna."

"No crust?"

"No crust." He confirms.

Mikaela bit back a smirk as she begun to make the sandwich, her eyes only straying from the sandwich long enough to glance up at him, taking in his blonde hair and striking blue eyes.

He was definitely a pretty boy, that's for sure.

The sound of multiple cars pulling up to the shop only meant one thing, trouble. Vince was a close friend to the family but he was a real hot head and everyone knew about the small crush he had on Mia. It was ridiculous.

"Talk to me, Jesse. This ain't working, brother." Vince spoke loudly, addressing their mechanic like friend.

"It's your fuel map. It's got a nasty hole. That's why you're unloading in third. Told you."

Mikaela smiled at Brian as he ate the tuna sandwich turning her head to glance at her youngest and only sister, winking.

Mia chuckled, her smile only slipping a little as the group entered the sandwich shop.

"Letty!" Mikaela spoke excitedly. "How you doing?"

"You know me, chica."

The girl felt a giggle part her lips as she shook her head reaching into the mini fridge and pulling out a drink sliding it across the counter towards her brother's play thing? No one knew what was going on between them.

"Thanks a lot, Mikaela. See you tomorrow." Brian spoke sincerely, before heading out the door.

"No problem."

Vince stalked after him, earning an eye roll from both of the toretto girls.

"Try Fatburger from now on. Get yourself a Double Cheese with fries for $2.95, fag." Vince yelled.

"I like the tuna here." Brian responded calmly.

"Bullshit! No one likes the tuna here." Vince argued.

"Yeah, well, I do."

The two males quickly begun trading blows falling against the pavement as they fought, "Jesus Christ, Dom! Would you get out there? I'm sick of this shit."

Mikaela slammed the palm of her hand against his office door, "I'm not kidding, Dom! Get out there."

As their brother exited his office he glanced at his younger sister, "what did you put in that sandwich?"

Mikaela chuckled sarcastically, "real funny, Dom."

The girl almost didn't want to watch it go down, ignoring the yells of all of the males, the toxic masculinity was insufferable.

"Brian Earl Spilner."

"Sounds like a serial killer name. Is that what you are?"

"No, man." Brian responded.

"Don't come around here again." He was ordered.

"Hey, man. This is bullshit." Brian argued, clearly fired up.

"You work for Harry, right?" Dom question.

"Yeah, I just started."

"You were just fired."

Mikaela glanced up just in time to see Brian climbing into the red truck, taking off.

"Are you serious, Dom?" She almost yelled as he walked back into the shop. "You are really going to call Harry?"

He ignored his sister.

"It's Vince always starting shit." She glares at the man that she's known all her life, feeling a bit sour towards him.

"Mikaela-"

"Fuck off, Vince." She spat grabbing the magazine off the counter before she disappeared out back muttering curses under her breath.

"Whoo!" Letty exclaims through a laugh. "You pissed her off good, Vince."

"Shut up, Letty." He grumbled.
