Scarlett's POV

Monday morning yay and its work day. I get up way earlier than I thought, usually I get up at 7 but today it was 6. I it ready for work anyway. Then went downstairs for breakfast. "6:45AM" that was quick, I pour in some rice crispys and milk.

I feel a something pulling my jeans, I look down and its Muffin. Oh god I forgot, I filled up her bowls, this is going to take time to get use to. I realised no one will be home to look after her. I checked the time yet again "7:15AM" 'i think there are awake'. i walked downstairs to my neighbours Brooke and Jason. i knocked on their door and i hear barley barking at the door. 'oh barely!' i chuckle to myself.The door opens to show a wide awake Brooke "Morning Scarlett, what brings you here in the early in the morning?" "Morning Brooke, i was wondering if you coul take care of this little fella of mine?" I asked her lookin down at Muffin. "Oh i didnt see her there. of course i will i mean a friend for Barely." "Thank you Brooke i own you one. you dont mind doing for while like maybe Monday-Friday?" i asked. "of course i will. something to keep me busy." she laughed. "Thanks Brooke" i say passing on muffin to her. i kneel down "i'll see you after work" tickling Muffin. I get up and wave goodbye to the two of them and then started to make my journey to work.

On the way to work thoughts clouded my mind. 'I don't want to work here anymore.' I could do something to get fired. Yeah that could be it

When I got to work the regular amount of customers walked in and out until break.

I hear the boss wanting to talk to me so I walk to the bosses office keeping in mind what I'm going to say to him.

"Scarlett come and sit down" he says after I knock on the door. I do as he says then he says the words I've been wanting to hear.
"Scarlett you've been slacking off work a little. This isn't the first time either, I've given you more chances than anyone else here, so with that your fired."
And just like that he brightens my day.

I was so happy after quitting. Wait now if don't have a job... Ah well I'll think of something later anyway.

I knock on Brooke's door and hear Muffin barking. She opens the door "Scarlett what are you doing here I thought you were at work?" "I was but I got fired." I explained. " oh well ok then. Here's muffin she was a delight to look after!" Brooke said passing Muffin to me "Thanks Brooke I own ya one!" I say waving her goodbye.

I entered my apartment and let Muffin run around. "I might take a week or 2 off" looking a Muffin realising who I had time to spend time with rather than friends.

Looking at the time '2:00PM' "Muffin do you want to go on a walk?" I asked her.
She jumps up and looks at me eagerly. "Wait there" I tell her. I ran to my bedroom and got dressed and done the face and hair and stuff. I grabbed the lead, attached it to muffin and we both headed out.

'I guess I wasn't the only one taking my dog on a walk' I chuckle to myself.
For the next 3 hours Muffin and I done a lot of activities.

After the 'walk' actually more like a damn workout. We head home, on the way home I get a text from Liam just saying hi. I replied and remember what has happened recently... Zayn left (A/N Sorry for bringing it back) and Louis' single.

I opened the door and Muffin goes straight to bed for a nap. Can't blame her she did a lot of running. *Ring Ring* I read the contact "Lima Liam🙈" hehe Lima anyway I answer the phone

S: Hello

L: Hey Scarlett are you busy right now?

S: not really. Why what's up?

L: do you wanna come round Harry and Niall are out and Louis' asleep.

S: ok then I'll be round in 20 minutes.

L: ok see you then.

With that he hanged up the phone after we said bye to each other.

*20 minutes later*

I knock on the door with Muffin in my arms. Liam opens the door and looks at Muffin in awe. He stepped aside and pointed to the sofa. I placed her down and followed Liam into the kitchen. "Hey" I said "hey, long time no see how are you?" "I'm good, I mean I got fired today but I'm good. How's it going with you?" "Well it's ok I guess. The unexpected leave of a member and the breakup from his girlfriend. It's good I guess." Liam says but in his eyes, just a hint of sadness in his eyes.

After that we started to talk about our past.

"Yeah I have a picture in my purse of my family before I was adopted." I stated rummaging through my handbag pulling out my purse. "Here look" I pulled out the picture from my purse and handed it to him. Muffin wonders in and nudges my leg. I pick here up and placed her on my lap.

He stares at it for 2 minutes then his eyes widen. "What's the matter." I asked him he walks out of the kitchen "what the h-" comes back and shows the exact same picture I had. I take the pictures from him and started to compare the both.
I look up at Liam who had the same expression on each other's faces.

"What the hell"
