(INT. WONYOUNG'S BEDROOM - DAY)The morning light seeps through her window pane as the clock ticks past 6 am. Wonyoung's eyes shoot open when she notices a terrible smell filling her nose. As she sits up in bed, a thick, dark liquid drips down her pillow, its metallic aroma nauseating her. She glances around her room, looking for a cause before her eyes are caught on an unsettling sight.
Her father, lying there on the floor, covered in dark red blood and gasping for air.His eyes are glazed over and vacant, a look of despair and pain frozen in his face.
Wonyoung panics, her heart pounding in her ears as she scrambles across her bed to rush to his side.
"Dad who did this to you?" She grabs hold of him, trying to stop his bleeding, but it's already too late. He gasps out his final words, a deep croak of anguish, as his blood pools across the floor. He sputters out his answer in a final breath, a hoarse whisper of grief and frustration. She leans in to hear his words, desperate to know who committed such a heinous crime. "The Man my dear" is his reply, his eyes filled with rage before they close, his spirit fading away with his final breath. "No no no please don't leave me, Dad I can't live without you," she said
struggling to hold back her tears and stay strong.WHICH MAN DO YOU MEAN??." Wonyoung can't help but cry out in anguish, begging her father to stay alive. She grasps his hands, but it is in vain, nothing she does can bring him back. She is left alone now in her room, filled with grief. She can't believe that the person she loved and adored most is gone forever. Her entire world is shattered as she processes this tragic loss. But there is no time for Wonyoung to grieve, not yet. She has a new purpose now: to hunt down the person who took her father from her and make them pay.
As Wonyoung's tears finally begin to subside, a new fire burns inside her heart. Her father's last words echo in her mind, and she Wonyoung swears a vow of revenge."I'll find who did this to you, no matter what it takes," Wonyoung whispers, her determination and resolve growing stronger with every word. She swears to herself that she will find the person responsible for this terrible crime and bring them to justice. Wonyoung's determination is fueled by rage and grief, two powerful emotions that propel her forward on her journey. She has one goal and one goal alone now: to bring justice to her father's killer.
"As Wonyoung clings to her father's lifeless body, she notices a piece of paper sticking out of his hoodie pocket. When she takes it out and wipes away the blood, she realizes that the paper is written in a violent and horrifying script. The words are barely readable, scribbled in a shaky, panicked scrawl. She struggles to read it at first, but as she makes out the words, her heart stops in its tracks. It states: "I am coming for you next, watch out." Wonyoung stares at the paper in shock, her blood running cold at the sight of that ominous message, written in the murderer's hand. Her father had been right: the killer was coming for her next. She quickly folds the paper and hides it away in her pocket, knowing that the killer would soon be on her trail. She knew she had to prepare for his attack, and fast.
As Wonyoung attended her father's funeral, she dressed in white clothes to honor his memory. She was surrounded by family members from her father's side, including her grandmother.
At first, Wonyoung had felt comforted by seeing her father's relatives, but her comfort quickly turned into discomfort. Her grandmother had grabbed her arms and slapped her hard across the face. "Why didn't you save your father?" the grandmother yelled, her words cutting into Wonyoung like a knife. She tightened her grip on Wonyoung's shoulders, shaking her forcefully."He trusted you, he entrusted your safety in your hands. How could you let such a terrible thing happen to him? You failed him!" the grandmother ranted, her harsh words leaving Wonyoung stunned... The whole event was a traumatic experience for Wonyoung, who felt like her whole world was falling around her. Finally, the bystanders were able to stop the grandmother from attacking Wonyoung.
Wonyoung was left shaken and in tears, with a bruise on her cheek. She was filled with a mixture of emotions: shock, fear, anger, and despair. Wonyoung couldn't face her family members after what had happened, so she quietly slipped out of the back door, wanting to put as much distance as she could between herself and them. Wonyoung ran away, her mind running wild and her emotions overflowing, determined to get away from everything.
Wonyoung suddenly stopped running as she bumped into someone in the alleyway. She froze at the sight of his menacing appearance and mysterious disposition. At that moment, both of their attention shifted toward each other. Wonyoung was unsure what to do or think, but the stranger's eyes were cold and piercing. "Are you Jang Wonyoung?" he asked looking at the picture he got from someone back and forth even double-checking it just to make sure.
"yes, I am Wonyoung, " she finally responded, feeling a mix of fear and anger toward the figure. The man remained silent, his gaze piercing her with a sense of intimidation.
"But who tf are you?" Wonyoung asks, her voice shaking in fear and doubt.
"Let us not waste time on formalities. There is a matter at hand. Your father..."
