~The best friends in question~

~A usual day~

A usual, basic, normal day... but unfortunately not peaceful.
School has just began after the holidays have finished... the halls are full of people, the school is clean and shiny.
It's loud, everyone is talking and it's barely understandable who even is who but yet still Coral sees Green and runs to her.

"Oh my god HIIIII- I missed you so much" Coral yells the moment she hugs Green
Green flinches.
"Oh... yeah, hey Coral! Missed you too"
Something seems not to spark as it usually does in the friendship of them and Coral asks Green whats up.
She seems to be annoyed by the crowds of people, loud noises and stuff.
Coral acceptingly nods and drags Green to class.
Coral has always been a sweet girl, so has been Green but she really can be moody sometimes.
No matter what would happen, Coral would get Green out of trouble or take responsibility for it even though it wasn't her fault at all.
Green wanted to become, what she calls, "more mature" like Coral just so she stops getting Coral in trouble.
While Coral on the other side wanted to be less perfect and more free just so she can have more fun with Green.
They both wanted to be 'better' for the other person but didn't understand that the other person loved them the way they are.
As Coral and Green appeared in class both's behavior already had changes.
While Green just normally sat down and bothered no one, Coral decided to go tease and make fun of a classmate.
The teacher walked in but Coral got away just in time.
"Dude!? What the f*ck was that about??" Green looked at Coral in disbelief and disappointment but Coral couldn't help but smile "Now I know why you like making fun of pricks him... It's fun!"
Green just sighed and told Coral to stop before she get's into more trouble.
Hearing that, Corals pupils got more messy and smaller... did she do something wrong? Is Green mad? Will something bad happend? Does Green like Coral now less? What if Green will never talk to her again? Or what if-
The school bell rings and Coral payed no attention at all in class.
How is that possible? She always listens... Green looks at Coral.
"Do you wanna do the homework later toge-..." she doesn't end her sentence as she looks deep into Corals eyes... "What is... wrong. Your pupils are doing the thing..."
Coral 'shakes it off' and just says nothing and agrees to do the homework later.
The day carries on, Coral can't keep it calm and Green is worried. Really worried.
"You've never been this stressed before, what is wrong, Coral."
Coral just looks away and tells Green she's fine. Excuse for excuse all day long.
Green was going over to Corals place that day, they are almost neighbors.
At Corals place the panic in Corals eyes carried on and on and it got worse and worse and she would tell Green nothing.
"You always tell me things... what is wrong. I'm really f*cking worried, Coral."
Coral sighs and looks down... "are you mad.. at me.? Do you hate me..?"
Greens eyes get as wide as possible "What!? Of course not. You're my best friend..."
Green grabs Corals hands and holds them tight, she looks up to Coral with a slight smile hoping it will cheer Coral somehow up.
"I could never hate you, Coral. You're like the only one I have..."
Coral just smiles as she begins to tear up. She has always been emotional but something... Something about that moment is so.. special to Corals heart.
It felt so.. warm. So... sweet and so... loving.
So different to how Green and Coral usually spend time... and that something was love.
Coral begins to think when Green left.
"Can't be possible... she is like a sister to me.. or maybe was... what is all of this? I never experienced these feelings, especially towards Green.. hm. Green."
Again, she takes a minute to think.
"She's so.. cute... and short" Coral chuckles "so... handsome and sweet and she looks so.. so... NO WAIT WHAT AM I THINKING-" Coral hugs her pillow and just goes to bed but her thoughts are filled with that moment and her brain is overwhelmed with all she feels.
She lays in bed blushing like a tomato.
"Why Green... overall, why a girl.. what do I do. She will hate me..."
