I stared at the party, and smiled as I tipped my head back and gulped more of my drink. Peace was finally restored, but something still felt missing.
I looked over at Dodger, and I realized what that was.
"Dodger!" I ran over to him, and grinned at him. He blinked at me quizzically.
"Yeah?"
"How would you like to be the new king of the humans?" I smirked at him, and his eyes widened.
"R-Really?!" He exclaimed, and I nodded. People begun to look at us.
"You're human, and a prince. So I bet they'd accept you. Plus they don't have much other choice." I explained, and Dodger nodded.
"Let's go then." He said determiningly and we got onto a horse, and rode off into the human territory.
---
Once we got there, the castle was surprisingly busy. Except, not in a good way. People were running around frantically, obviously confused on what to do. Without their king, what would they do?"
Dodger and I walked confidently into the throne room, and we stopped and watched people for a moment. I nudged Dodger and nodded at the throne.
"It's your time to shine." I winked at him, and he smiled nervously, and walked up to the throne, before he stopped in front of it and turned around.
"Humans!" He called out, and people finally ceased to a stop and watched him.
He gulped, but continued on.
"I'm deeply sorry for what has happened to your king. But don't let that stop you! My name is Dodger Waraint. I was once the prince of the territory you know as "beyond the renegades." I am willing to become your next king." He said strongly, and people begun murmuring.
"How can we trust you?" One person shouted out, and the green eyed man smiled.
"I would put every piece of my heart and soul into rebuilding this kingdom into something every god you believe in will smile down upon." He swore, and people begun to slowly clap, until it turned into fullout cheering.
Dodger stood taller, and looked at me and smiled.
Suddenly, I could heard an outraged scream though, and we all turned to see the former princess.
"This isn't right! I should be the next ruler!" She shouted, and I could see the bloodshed in her eyes already. It seemed some people could too.
"I'm sorry Princess Cassidy. But if you were to rule, I could already see conflict between the Catori and the Humans. I'm never going to allow that to happen again." Dodger spoke out, and people instantly begun to agree.
"But law says I'm supposed to rule!" She spat at Dodger, and he let out a laugh.
"Screw the law! I'll remake it!" He said, and she glared at him with fury.
"I swear I'll get my revenge!" She shouted, and stormed out of the castle in a fit.
I walked up beside Dodger, and I shook my head.
"I don't even know why I hung out with her." I laughed, and he grinned.
"Well she is kinda hot." He said, and I groaned and shook my head.
"Please Dodger, No!" I joked, and then looked at the people of the kingdom.
"You're going to need to put a lot of heart and soul into this kingdom Dodger." I reminded him, and he shrugged.
"Yeah I already said that. I plan to make this kingdom awesome and fun." He grinned, and I shook my head and chuckled.
"Maybe mature first." I said, and he shrugged.
"Heh, I already plan on having a heir for the kingdom." I rose an eyebrow, but didn't say anything against it.
"Well I should probably get back to the catori. There's a party going on and I don't want to miss all of it." I excused myself, and let myseld out of the kingdom.
"Wait Lucas!" Dodger shouted and threw a crystal at me. I caught it, and stared at it. It was a beautiful sky blue crystal that was slightly transparent.
"Use this to contact me! It's the next step to a big revolution." He called, and I nodded and put it into my pouch and smirked.
I rode my horse back to the catori, and thankfully, the party was still going on.
I put the horse back into the stables, and strode over to the party. It seemed like everybody was beginning to head back home. I frowned, and groaned. I missed the party.
"Where did you go?" A voice came from behind me, and I turned to see Aiyana standig there, smiling.
I put a hand on her waist and pulled her close before I kissed her softly.
"Dodger is the new king of the humans." I murmured. Her eyes widened, and she hugged me.
"Finally.. Peace.." She murmured and I smiled.
"I know.. Thank god." I sighed and led us to our house. We walked to the bedroom, and I broke away to look out the window.
"It's gonna be weird with all this peace." I grumbled.
"Yeah, can't imagine a life without fighting. It's pretty sad." She agreed, and stood beside me.
"Well whatever. We'll live this life together." I said to her, and looked at her and smiled, before I yawned. My body was still trying to get over all the torture it went through.
"This is almost like a retirement." I joked as I laid us back onto the bed. She laughed lightly, and snuggled against me. I hugged her tightly, and blinked sleepily.
"I love you, princess." I murmured, before I closed my eyes, and drowned in the darkness..
