The Hope's Peak limousine was quite bumpy. For such an esteemed institution, I would have expected better.
Of course, I did not complain. I wasn't one to complain about these sorts of things. I was adopted by the Ambrose family when I was a child, and without the aid of Mister Ambrose, I would never be in this limo, or even accepted at Hope's Peak Academy.
I was heading to the most esteemed high school in the world. Hope's Peak Academy did not accept admissions. It was the Hope's Peak scouts who would search for students with Ultimate Talents, to help cultivate and nurture these talents.
It was Mister James Ambrose who helped me cultivate my talent, way before I had been accepted into the school.

"Erudite Student? What's Erudite?" I remember asking him, as he walked with me out of the orphanage.
"You show great curiosity, Colette." He said to me, not directly replying to the question
"That is why I picked you."
He looked down at me.
"Now, what was your last name again?"
"I don't know." I quickly replied. The matrons never told me.He stifled a small laugh. "Well, that does not matter anymore. You are now Colette Ambrose, and soon, you will be the Ultimate Erudite Student."
Since then, I had lived with the wealthy Ambrose family, as Mr. Ambrose raised me, helping me to accept the talent that I had. It was all so that I could be accepted into this prestigious academy.
And I was holding the acceptance letter in my hands.

Sitting in the limousine was getting quite boring. I had only myself for company, other than the driver of course, and that was who I had decided to talk to.
"Um, excuse me? how long till we arrive at the school?"
There was no reply, other than a small laugh. Quite rude. I couldn't see the driver either, with the glass pane separating the passenger from the driver of the limousine.
Although the driver's experience was questionable, one could not deny that the Hope's Peak Academy Limousine was quite luxurious. I picked a piece of litchi candy from a bowl, unwrapping it as I spoke again.
"It's quite rude to laugh at a client, you know." I said with a handful of candies in my mouth.
"Puhuhuhuhu.. You're not a client."
I stopped chewing the candy.
"You're a prisoner."
The divider rolled down as a black-and-white face looked back at me, and the limousine began to be filled with a strange looking fog.
I could not speak. I could not scream.
All I saw was that face of despair.
Everything went black.
