"How will we get rid of the evidence? My parents would kill me if they found out and so would your parents."

Her eyes take on this ghostly glow, as if she was trying to come out of her usual element to try to think from someone else's perspective.

"I got it. We drive my car to the lake across from our old treehouse we always used to hang out at. Once we can finally get there we can just drop the evidence into the lake to make sure no one else finds it, and if it's really necessary we can burn it all including the bag and drop the ashes into the river."

It seemed like she had taken days, maybe even months trying to figure out this plan while it had just been a mere few minutes.

"Okay. I think that's the best idea. But how will we get it past my mom?"

"I could get her out of the room and then you can sneak past her and then I'll follow you after you're gone," Kat stands up.

"Okay. Let's go do this."

Kat goes upstairs and I can hear her asking my mom about her outfit and how good it looks but Kat could give her some advice for better accessories.

I go out the the garage door which luckily happens to be just outside the basements' stairs past my room.

Kat walks out the garage door a few seconds later and we walked out the already open garage.

"So what did you tell her we were going to do?"

"I told her we were going to the mall for a few hours," Kat unlocks the car doors.

"Seems believable."

I put the bag in the back seat and get in the front.

My mind started to wander while we were in the car.

Did Anthony get scared when I told him about the murder? Would he tell anyone? Is everything over? Are we even really a thing? I have too many questions that I don't know the answer to.

Suddenly we were at the lake. It didn't seem like the ride was that long.

We get out of the car and I get out to get the bag.

"Um Kat? I think you'll want to come see this." I hold up a letter that was in the bag which was open from earlier.

"What?" She takes the note and reads it out loud. "Good luck getting rid of this. I have evidence."

"Is there any name?"

She turns the note over. "No."

"Well maybe we should go burn the ashes and get this whole thing taken care of." I grab the bag heaving it over my shoulder and walking towards the lake.

No one is here. I could just get rid of this and no one will know not even that stupid bitch that left the note. But how do they put the note there...

Kat gives me a lighter that she had in her car.

"This was an ex's lighter that he left in my car. You can get rid of it too if you want."

I set the bag on fire and put the lighter into the fire and then we wait for them to burn completely to ashes.

"What do you think about that note," I look at Kat.

"Oh it's probably nothing." She looks down to the fire.

I can tell she's lying.

"Well maybe we should just go get some rest." I start heading towards the car.

"Yeah that sounds like a good idea," she opens her car door and we drive to my house.

"I'll see you at school tomorrow."

I run back into my house and run past my mom down to my room.

She is yelling about running in the house but I honestly couldn't care less, I'm just so...tired...

Next thing I know everything is black.
