"SO ANNOYING!"

melina walks down the stairs, once she was on the final step, she pulls out her phone, texting layla, telling her to meet with her in the kitchen. when not getting a response from layla, she sighs debating on if she should just let it go and join matt upstairs again. she looks up at the stairs in thought for a moment, then groans, shaking her head.

"he's such an idiot!" melina exclaims letting her arms fall to her side while walking down the hall and making her way towards nick's room. that is until marylou's voice stops her as she passes by the living room door way. "alright, what did matt do this time?" marylou asks while turning the page of the book she was reading, from her spot on the couch in the living room.

melina's shoes squeak loudly from how fast she stopped on her tracks, making her shut her eyes in annoyance for failing at being quiet and subtle. she steps back a bit turning around to face marylou who was waiting for an answer to her previous question. "how did you know it was me?" melina asks sheepishly as she leans onto the door frame.

marylou gives melina a gentle smile saying, "sweetie, you're not exactly as quiet as a mouse, plus i also heard when you tripped walking down the stairs just now and said some strong words." she laughs as melina's eyes widen slightly in embarrassment, "sorry, i didn't know you were already home." she laughs looking down.

marylou shakes her head letting out a laugh and pats the spot next to her, for melina to sit down."so, what's wrong?" she asks giving melina her full attention. melina hesitates on even saying anything because she didn't want to involve marylou into the drama of her relationship with matt.

melina looks around awkwardly before speaking up, "well... as you know, he doesn't really think before speaking sometimes and he just said something during our game that bothered me a little." she shrugs thinking of how to explain the situation, since she was also confused about it.

marylou lets out a quiet laugh, "sweetie, did you tell him that it bothered you?" she asks giving melina a pointed look. melina tucks a hair behind her ear taking a deep breath, "not exactly." she replies sheepishly placing with the lace of a pillow.

when hearing herself respond to marylou out loud, melina furrows her brows realizing that she could've just talked to matt instead of storming out of the room like a child but her pettiness kept her from doing it.
