You looked over the edge of your book at Kid who leaned against the kitchen counter, talking with Killer. Their voices were hushed, making sure you wouldn't hear them. If he had a good reason, Killer would've send you out of the room, but there was none, so now he was stuck talking with Kid here while the coffee machine dripped slowly, preparing their coffee. You had taken up the task to make the coffee, holding yourself on your own vow that Killer would never be allowed to touch the coffee maker ever again. You heard Kid laugh loudly and you tilted your head, wondering what was so funny lately. The words written down on the paper in the book wasn't as interesting anymore when Killer laughed as well. When you noticed the teal coloured eyes flicker to you, you quickly looked back down over the story laid in front of you.

Your fingers flick a page, trying to keep your mind focused on the page you were 'reading' as the chatter in the kitchen fell even quieter. You sigh in slight frustration, at the conversation you were being left out of, but also when you realised you had read nothing in the last half an hour apart from the few minutes it took you to get the coffee maker to work correctly. You flick the pages back, trying again instead of trying to eavesdrop on anything said by Killer and Kid. Someone put down a cup of coffee on the coffee table, her hands patting your legs to get you to move them. "Interesting book?" Victoria asked with a chuckle. You pull your legs closer to yourself, moving a bit up on the couch to sit upright.

"It is..."

"But you can't focus?" You just shook your head at her inquiry. Her gaze went towards the kitchen for a short moment and she nodded. "It's annoying to be left out right?" Her voice lowered down, almost as if she was telling you a secret and you perked up as she recognized what you were feeling.

"I know right? Like, I'm right here, please talk to me because I'm going crazy." You whispered back and Victoria smiles softly, nodding in understanding.

"He doesn't let you out much, I take it?" You shook your head again. "I get it. I mean, Kid would do the same if we were in the same situation. But social interaction is still necessary. Did you talk with him about that?" She asked, sipping from her own mug. You noticed the string of a teabag and reminded yourself that she didn't like the bitterness and tang of coffee like you did, but while she revelled in the taste of green tea, you didn't seem to catch her taste in that.

"How would you talk with Kid about that? Because I feel like they would practically react the same, without the anger issues.. Not that I.." Victoria laughed softly, stifling it behind her hand as she watched your struggle to stay kind about Kid's inability to keep his anger truly under control.

"I know what you mean, don't worry about that." She tapped his chin in thought as she lowered her mug to rest against her thigh. "Well.. I would approach the fact that you still have some friends that might wonder how you were doing. Just to send a small message that you're alive and like to chat or share a cup of coffee with them at a café. Something small, you know? Or that you'd like to do something together, even if it is taking a walk at dusk or watching a movie together or you know, talk about things you'd like to do in the future. Get on the same page as he is. A relationship is about open communication after all." Victoria says, her hands cupped around her mug of tea. Her eyes flickered from your face to the cup of coffee she had put on the table for you and you chuckled at the small hint. The coffee does lower in temperature quite quickly compared with her tea.

You took a sip from the freshly brewed coffee after placing the book down and the bitterness of the drink hit your tastebuds just right, making you sigh and closing your eyes in appreciation of the hit of caffeine that would come quickly. You lowered the cup to your own lap, looking down at the liquid inside with a contemplating look. Your brows drew together as your thoughts started to race about how to breach the subject to Killer. "How is Kid by the way? Killer doesn't really talk about his friends and as far as I've been informed, we were friends as well?" You asked the woman next to you.

Victoria tilted her head to the side, her short hair brushing over her shoulder. You could understand why Kid would like her, she was beautiful and more thoughtful than outspoken unless she saw that Kid was being an ass, which had happened quite a bit lately. "Well.. He's doing fine. He finished upgrading the garage and has more employees that can juggle his workload, which is great, because now he actually stays in bed in the morning before I have to leave for work. Other days I would barely see his ugly mug until the weekends and even then it was scarce." Your eyebrow raises as she calls Kid's face ugly, but doesn't comment on it. "I'm just glad it feels like a relationship again, you know? And I think Killer does too with you now that you're back. He's been vocal about you towards Kid, which means Kid will tell me everything as well as he feels glad his friend has his girlfriend back." You look back down into the cup of coffee, your thumb running over the rim idly.

"Yeah.. well... It must've been hard for Killer, knowing I was out there but didn't remember him." You murmured. You rubbed the cup with your fingers in thought, quietly thinking things over about that situation. "I.. There are still things I can't seem to remember though and Killer doesn't touch those subjects either it seems. Do you think.. you or Kid could shed some light on that?" You asked, looking back up at the woman hopefully, only to feel it get crushed almost immediately again when Victoria shook her head.

"No, because that would mean we're meddling with those memories. It has to come back naturally. Law did tell you that when you spoke to him, right?" You pursed your lips at her words, slowly nodding as you averted your gaze from her again, a soft 'right' falling from your lips in a quiet whisper. Victoria shoved your shoulder playfully. "Don't worry, it will all come back to you over time. I'm just surprised it hadn't happen before Killer took you. What did it trigger?" Her eyes looked at you over the rim of her mug as she took another sip of her tea.

"Trauma induced, I guess. He.. tortured me mentally and physically." You murmured and Victoria frowned at that, shaking her head. "I know.. it sounds very bad, I can't object that, but it was less intense compared to.. well, the others that were there." You said softly. Your gaze flickered over the floor and the furniture in the room. It still does sound bad, no matter how much you sugar-coated it. It sounded terrible and your gut-feeling still tells you to leave, but you felt bad for Killer. That was it, you guessed.

"He could've been more subtle about it though." Victoria muttered next to you, her gaze locked on your frame. "And now? Does it feel better? Does he regard you as a full on girlfriend again?" The woman asked gently, her eyes sparkling in the light that illuminated the room.

You shrugged your shoulders a bit, shifting in your seat on the couch. "I think so. He's a bit possessive at times and very protective of what I do or watch and such. I'd just liked it if we could talk more freely instead of being tossed around in subjects to talk about, you know?" You said softly, feeling your shoulders tense and pull up towards your ears. "When I ask him about his day or what he did because I'm genuinely interested, he gives a roundabout answer. I don't even know what he does in his free time because he hoovers around me. I don't see him go out with Kid, Kid always comes here, for example. Does he have more friends? Does he enjoy his work? What hobbies does he have? Who knows, not me in any case." You grumbled and started venting about the little things that feel important to you. "He knows me, the old me, but I don't know him and I try to, but it sometimes feels like he is a stranger to me or a roommate with whom I have sex." You tried to explain. "Does that make sense?" Your (e/c) gaze turn back to the woman on the other seat of the couch, trying to gauge her insight and feelings about that.

Victoria nodded slowly. "It does, kinda.." She murmured softly, scooting a little closer as lowering her voice a bit. "Kid has been the same as Killer. They are both.. very passionate and protective of their significant other. Give it time, Killer will eventually let you loose soon, either by his own will or because you'll go crazy otherwise. Do you want me to go and talk with him?" She offered and you drank the rest of your coffee before answering her.

"Yeah, that would be great. Thank you."

"Of course! It's no problem." Victoria says gently, her hand patting your thigh for a moment. "So.. please do share though: how is Killer in bed?" Her lips tugged into a mischievous smile and your lips part in slight shock, a blush dusting your cheeks.

You looked around for anyone to hear and say softly: "Victoria... Seriously?" The woman only nodded, obviously excited about some form of information about that regard. "I... no, you know what.. no. I'm not going to talk about that right now." You answered, the blush deepening.

"That good, huh?" She laughed , her whole upper body shaking at your answer. "Gosh, if you ever fight, the make up sex is even better."

"Vic!"
