|Jennie|
She blinks and stands up. "Did you just rip up the papers?"
I give a fake smile and mock, "You have good hearing don't you?"
She tightens her jaw. "Jennie—"
"WHY ARE YOU TRYING TO DIVORCE ME?!"
"WHY ARE YOU YELLING?!"
"WHY ARE YOU—"
"I DON'T WANT TO BE WITH YOU ANYMORE!" She shouts.
I scoff. "BULLSHIT!"
"HELLOOOOO!" Lisa shouts and comes to the bannister. "WHY ARE YOU BOTH SHOUTING?!"
I point to Jisoo and shout up at her, "Jisoo is trying to divorce me!"
She looks at Jisoo and shouts angrily, "WHAT THE FUCK JISOO?!"
Jisoo rolls her eyes and pinches the bridge of her nose in annoyance. "This isn't any of your business Lisa. Go finish packing. Your flight leaves before lunch and you still need to go to your parents' house."
She runs off and I take big strides as I walk around the couch and into the living room.
I stand in front of her and say, "Why the fuck are you divorcing me?!"
She shakes her head. "Jennie," she says with exasperation.
I wrap my arms around her waist and rest my chin on her shoulder. "I'm not letting go of you. You can push me away all you want Jisoo. But I'm not going to leave. I love you."
She pushes my arms away and grabs her cane to leave.

The next day, I wake up to Jisoo playing the piano and divorce papers sitting on the table.
I rip those up and Jisoo just leaves.
I watch her carefully walk away and I shout, "You can bring those papers as many times as you want! I'M NOT DIVORCING YOU!"
She reaches the top of the staircase and I hear her bedroom door close.
••••••••••
I wake up and Jisoo is playing the piano.
Beethoven's Für Elise.
The same one she played on my birthday.
I slowly walk down the staircase so that she might not hear me but she stops playing and says, "They're on the table."
I tighten my jaw and hold my emotions back. I walk the rest of the way down and go to the dining table.
I stare at all the forms filled with her name and mine.
I just have to sign it.
I look at Jisoo staring blankly at the piano. "Why are you doing this?" I ask softly.
"Because I don't want to be with you anymore."
"And I don't believe you," I say. "You spend so much time trying to win me over. Well, Jisoo.... You won me for life. No one is going to replace you in my life or in my heart."
She stands up. "Jennie.....I'm jobless."
I nod. "Yes, and?"
She turns around in the direction of my voice. "I'm blind."
I cross my arms. "Who cares?"
"I CARE!" She shouts angrily and I'm caught off guard so I flinch.
She takes a step forward. "I CARE BECAUSE I CAN'T SEE YOU! I CAN'T DO ANYTHING WITHOUT THIS CANE! I CAN'T DO THE JOB THAT I LOVE! I CAN'T—" she grabs a glass bowl on the coffee table and throws it where it shatters on the marble floor.
